Oh My Goodness! I’m mastering cooking after 31 years of marriage 🤪🤣!

I have literally found the easiest cooking tool known man or (woman🤣)

The Lightyear Instant Read Meat Thermometer is a pocket-knife-style digital cooking tool that’s so easy! Who ever knew cooking could be so easy.

Here’s a few of the features that I love:
•Has a lightning fast read in 2 to 4 seconds
•Ultra Thin Needle tip
•Easy to Read
•Display Hold Feature
•Display Light Up Feature
•Lightweight, easy to handle
•Waterproof

In case you didn’t know it, you need a Meat Thermometer just like THIS in your kitchen essentials. Heck I might have started cooking sooner if I knew it was this easy. 🤣🤣

Thanks to Lightyear for sending me this game-changing thermometer!

Your loaf looks done. That means nothing.
Color only tells you the crust got hot. The middle is where the gummy slice comes from, 205 F or 100 C degrees in the centre.
My old one took its time. I like how quick and accurate the @lightyear_kitchen one is.

Braided Chicken Breast

I might have to start braiding more things around here. This braided chicken breast was the star of the dinner table tonight and was the perfect meal for 1. The braid definitely added more surface area for seasoning and the nooks and crannies held the juices and sauces in place instead of letting them run out onto the grill. I recommend trying it out but meanwhile, check out the simple process below!

Ingredients:
• Boneless Skinless Chicken Breast
• Garlic Olive Oil
• DD The Asian Blend
• Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce

Directions:
1. With a sharp @shuncutlery butterfly the chicken breast. Open up and lay flat then cover with a piece of plastic wrap. Using a @lightyear_kitchen Meat Hammer, pound out the breast until it is an even thickness throughout.
2. Turn the chicken so the length of meat is going away from you. Make 2 cuts about an inch from the top of the chicken all the way down to the bottom, creating 3 cutlets that are still attached on the top to eachother. Braid the chicken then secure the bottom with a toothpick. Brush with olive oil then sprinkle with DD The Asian Blend. Wrap and refrigerate at least 45 minutes, overnight is best.
3. Remove meat from refrigerator and preheat the grill. Heat your @webergrills to 350 for 15 minutes with the lid closed. Place meat in the middle then close the lid and leave undisturbed for 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and generously baste with @trybachans . Allow to keep cooking until it reaches 165 internal. Remove from the heat and brush with another coat of Bachans. Loosely tent with foil then allow to rest at least 10 minutes before serving.

A quick temperature check = baking
with confidence. It might be the fix your bread needs!
A quick temperature check 🌡️ at the end of your bake can take the guesswork out of sourdough.🥖
I always check the internal temperature of my loaves before calling them done. While every oven bakes a little differently, I typically look for an internal temperature around 208-212°F (98-99°C) for a fully baked sourdough loaf.🍞✔️
This simple step helps prevent underbaked centers preventing cutting into gummy dough.
The Lightyear thermometer @lightyear_kitchen has become one of those tools I reach for every bake because it’s fast, accurate, and takes the guesswork out of knowing when my bread is done. Link in bio for those interested in the thermometer
Do you check the internal temperature of your sourdough, or do you go by color? #sourdoughstarter #sourdough #sourdoughbread #sourdoughbaking #sourdoughtips

I’ve been making these high fiber muffins every weekend. My family loves them because they’re hey delicious and definitely make us feel better! There are 8g each of fiber and protein per serving. My one year granddaughter even loves them. 🫶🥹They will keep you full all morning long. Comment “ fiber” for the recipe. I always use grains from @grandtetonfamily because they are clean, organic, glyphosate free and regenerativly grown!🌾🌾🌾I’ve also been enjoying my new instant read thermometer from @lightyear_kitchen It’s so much faster than my old one! #highfiberdiet #freshmilledflourrecipe

Thank you so much @lightyear_kitchen for this handy thermometer! It has been so helpful for baking bread and roast chicken! Love the temperature markings for different meats and it was so helpful in determining final bread temperature for my sourdough enriched raisin sandwich bread (baked in @cookwithkuha Cast iron covered loaf pan)

Vacation has been over and I still have some Portugal content to upload, but in the meantime I’ve been keeping busy in the kitchen. Yesterday I made fresh bread, my daughter made potato salad, and I baked sweet & spicy chicken. The @lightyear_kitchen basting brushes I used were perfect to smother the chicken with the yummy sauce. The bristles are soft and brushed the chicken perfectly. It’s a great product and I wouldn’t expect anything less - because you know I’m picky with my kitchen tools 😉

Using my new kitchen tool tonight, a meat hammer from @lightyear_kitchen to even out 2 chicken breasts for uniformity and faster cooking. In 20 minutes I had a beautiful farm share salad and perfectly cooked chicken to top it. #farmshare #kitchenstools #fibergoals #proteingoals #healthylifestyle
