“Noise belongs to everyone” – interview with Vilho Koivisto, a noise musician.

My interview with Vilho Koivisto (Aprapat, Satatuhatta) has been published recently. It appears in a bit unusual context, an academic journal's "noise" themed issue (Journal of Somaesthetics, no. 1/2026).

In late January I visited Vilho's place to discuss issues related to the practices of making, performing and releasing noise music. The article features full transcript of the interview and a shorter commentary pondering noise's relation to music.

Many thanks to Vilho for hosting and Mikko Repka @willdiesoon for recording the chat!
