Best week of my life! So good it took me 8 months just to recover enough to post 🫠 Absolutely generational trip

Made this one using only hand tools while I was camping on a remote island in the NT. Sad to see it break but it’s still caries all the stories and its significance. Every piece of wood carries a story. Since this tree was from an island with more rainfall, the wood grows lighter and softer in comparison to the same trees in the desert, meaning they’re a little easier to work with but also require a little more care. 😄

In March we kicked off the Hometown workshop in Mulubinba/Newcastle on Awabakal Country. Was awesome to work alongside Talakai and it was an inspiring experience working with so many talented young local artists, collaborating and making so many tracks across the three days. Can’t wait to run more!
