This October, I’ll be running from Pisa to Florence while attempting the world’s longest cocktail boomerang on foot.

Supported by my boy @lukewookie , I’ll carry a cocktail across Tuscany from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to Florence. Because apparently running that far wasn’t already a sufficiently stupid idea.

The challenge is raising money for the @slothconservation , or SloCo, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to protecting sloths and their habitats in Costa Rica.

As rainforests are cleared and fragmented, sloths are forced onto roads, into urban areas and dangerously close to power lines. SloCo works to reconnect their habitats by restoring rainforest, planting trees and building canopy bridges that allow sloths to travel above the ground. It also supports research, education and community conservation projects that help people and wildlife live alongside one another.

Sloths might move slowly, but the threats facing them are moving quickly.

Every donation will help SloCo continue this important work—and give me another reason to keep moving when carrying a cocktail across Tuscany starts feeling like the worst hospitality decision I’ve ever made.

Please donate, share the page and follow the cocktail’s unnecessarily long journey from Pisa to Florence.

It’s that time again! Tales of the Cocktail is just around the corner. This global spirits industry gathering brings together bartenders, distillers, and hospitality professionals from around the world to learn, connect, and honor the best of the industry. Educational seminars, tastings, celebrations, and networking abound at the beautiful @ritzcarltonneworleans HQ and all around the city. (Humidity abounds too, but that’s 100% part of the experience.) 💦

No and low-alcohol brands are present too! I love learning about sustainability practices, history, and cultural traditions through the spirits industry.

Every year in June, since 2022, we’ve invited some of the world’s best bars to co-host an event in our space to coincide with Bar Convent Brooklyn. Each collaboration inspires us to create a custom experience that unites our guests and the hospitality industry in new and exciting ways.

Here’s a look back at previous years when we welcomed Little Red Door, WAX ON BERLIN, Handshake Speakeasy, Like Minded Creatures, schmuck., SIPS, Alquímico, and Tres Monos.

This year is no exception. Stay tuned for what’s to come!

LMC on tour in China in 2025 @hopeandsesame and @obsidianbar_sz. Graphics for each event combine photographs of the creatures and the iconic Absolut bottle with texta-made graphics and typography, creating a mixed-media mash-up that reflects the disruptive attitude the creatures bring to each event.

Heaps more images of the China tour over on our website.
