Typical Thursday!

Lots of ACL and Tommy John patients grinding to get better for their comebacks.

Love their motivation and helping them achieve their goals 💪🏼

It’s never easy but shout out to my PT/ATC friends who help their athletes!

Gait training after ACL surgery

Critical to nail the basics early on.

Gait training is so important and often overlooked. Need to get them comfortable flexing the knee and propelling their weight forward during the gait cycle.

Most want to protect the joint and land on a flexed knee (quad avoidance gait).

Here we are cering her to extend the knee and land in a heel-toe gait pattern.

I’ll slowly take a crutch away as she becomes more comfortable and confident.

So critical that we nail this early as it can really set the tone for future progressions.

A avançada Lily Bryant foi operada a uma rotura do ligamento cruzado anterior do joelho esquerdo e vai ficar afastada da competição nos próximos meses.

Desejamos uma plena recuperação e total restabelecimento à jogadora do FC Porto.
