SAYING GOODBYE
—————————
I absolutely hate when my clients move away 😭😭😭. Especially when we’ve been together for so long, built trust and a friendship! But I know it’s not only hard for me to see you go. When it comes to moving, finding a hairstylist who you can trust is so hard and so scary!! I love you and am so excited for you @lil.tacoo , but I’m going to make you come all the way back to Maine for your haircuts! 😆

“When your love for the ocean is greater than the fear of drowning, darling, you will surely swim.”
- @viva_la_poema 🌊
.

As I aimlessly scroll, I found this powerful quote. A subtle reminder that as we all are growing, transitioning, figuring life out- don’t forget to love yourself, life and everything in between.

So wonderful reuniting with @lil.tacoo and capturing her glowing essence✨

Episode 110: @lil.tacoo

I spent some time speaking with a Portland, Maine native who is a freelance model, radio host, and community organizer/activist. Kara works with the only hip hop radio station in Portland, Maine, and shares her insights on how she uses radio as a platform to uplift her community and local musicians in the Portland area.

In this conversation, Kara shares her insights about the power of social media, collaboration, and how modeling has been useful in not only sustaining her goals but also collaborating with local brands.

We dive deep into the Black Lives Matter movement, diversity, and growing up as a racially marginalized person in Maine. Find out more about Kara's modeling journey and how she has diversified her ambitions and platform in today's episode. (link to podcast in bio)

Old news, but finally photographed my look from Project Upcycle last year (with a tweak or two!) Aka my favorite event... ever? So excited to finally have a backdrop, now I just need lights so I can stop relying on the sun and photoshop for studio shots!! 😯

Finally got to shoot @kara.weiske. Been quiet on IG this winter but I’m excited to fire up some outdoor work again.
