On this weekend, 11 years ago, I kissed a baddie at @symbiosisgathering and it changed the rest of my life.

Happy birthday to the joy-conjuring sorceress, the Hufflepuff heroine, the chaos-taming CEO, the kindness assassin, the dread-locked dynamo - the irreplaceable - Lauren Hill.
I love you. I admire you. I adore you.

“Am I speaking to the home owner?”
“Yes, yes you are” 🤩

Howdy neighbors 🤠 Very happy to share that I bought a house in Austin and am planting deeper roots with this amazing community. I’m coming up on 2 years here, and feel tremendously grateful for the friendships, opportunities, and memories made with such a special group of humans. Here are a couple highlights, much love 🫶🏼

All the year you loved before. 💕

Here’s to 30 + 1. 😂 More dumps to come…these 10 photos don’t even sum up a quarter of the last 12 months, but hopefully they share some of the joy I’ve felt.

2023 was a special year for a lot of reasons. After 8 1/2 years living in the forest and working for ourselves, Lauren and I made the scary decision to integrate into the real world. We moved to a new city/state where didn’t know anyone and adjusted to the grueling pace of city life. We both enrolled in school as full time students while working full-time at restaurants as we tried to balance the new grind with finding new community, continuing to pursue our passions, and taking care of 3 dogs that were used to life on a farm just as we were. Naturally this came with a bunch of challenges but I’m proud to say that we rose to the occasion and handled this transition with confidence and grace thanks, in large part, to our ability to support one another and hold each other accountable.

The year was full of more than trials, however, as we also found time to celebrate life and enjoy the joys as often as possible.

Upon entering this new phase of life, I aimed to join a band I could put my creative energy into, and I really wanted to find a community of friends who inspire me to be a better version of myself and are capable of forming deeper connections.

I’m grateful to say that I succeeded in finding both of those things very quickly and these individuals have made my time here so much easier and more meaningful. These new friendships mean so much to me. (Thank you. I love you all.)

Some of the highlights of 2023 include:
- finally marrying @lil0h in Mexico after 8+ years together.
- completing two semesters of school with a 4.0 gpa
- forming a band with some amazing individuals, playing a bunch of shows, and releasing music. (follow us at @groundcloudsatx . We have a lot of big plans for 2024)
- forming deep connections with a bunch of great men.
- working with a long list of artists that I admire at @nnmfestival and @bluenotejazzfestival as an artist liaison with an amazing group of humans.
- going to Prague and Vienna with my dad and little brother.
- attending SXSW
- attending Austin City Limits with my day-1 boys for @nicksobiek bachelor party.

And so much more.

Here’s to more growth and memories in ‘24.

Love you all 🫶
