To say this year was anything but challenging would be an understatement. I don’t often share much about my personal life, but I’ve been thinking a lot about my family this year.

In the spaces in between, outside of the work and the hustle, I’m deeply grateful for dear friends, a lot of good food, and our wonderful Brooklyn community.

Ending 2025 on mostly a good note and looking ahead to 2026 with thoughtful intention.

14,883 steps later and a very full heart.

Kicked the day off with bloody marys, wings, and bánh mì at @mekelbergs, then margaritas from @heytacocina and playtime at @dominopark. Grabbed bagels from @bagelsmithnyc, stopped into @charlestonbar for a quick shot, picked up ice cream at @emackandbolios, and sipped passion fruit daiquiris in the garden at @blinkysbar.

Bushwick beers at @oldstanleys, a round of shots at @talon_brooklyn, then a proper New York feast at @velmarestaurant devouring crispy chicken nuggets, fried cheese, calamari, meatballs, mussels, fettuccine, and a giant pizza pie. All paired with cold mugs of beer, glasses of sangiovese, and decadent espresso martinis, before a final nightcap at @rararhinonyc.

A late-night stroll through @mariahernandezpark was the perfect end to a day of celebrating, indulgence, and time with people I adore. Thank you, dear friends, for all of the lovely birthday messages, songs, and wishes. You all truly made me feel celebrated and loved.

As many of you know I’m a bit of a watch nerd. Before this watch there was a long line of Timex/Armitron/Casio military/dive style watches which I bought at the local Bradlees. This is the $100 “nice”watch that started it all for me. My family had been on vacation in the Bahamas for a week and my sister and I had won about $300 on a broken slot machine that paid out every pull. My parents let us split the money that we had won. My sister bought a 12” pink color TV. I bought this Tag from the local Fortunoffs in Jersey(and the steel bracelet later on from Fords Jewelers) that I had been drooling over. The Tag Heuer Formula 1. A very cool watch for a 13 year old kid. I wore the hell out of it through college and then retired it to my sock drawer. Recently it has become more desirable because of a collab with Kith and a more lux version being reissued by Heuer this year but here is mine from around 1986ish. Box, papers and stickers and original plastic band. Certainly not a lux watch but still a cool one. I saw @ronniefieg talking about it somewhere online and it inspired me to take it back out again. #tagheuer
