dedicated our sweet Elanie Kate to the Lord on Father’s Day surrounded by so many family and friends who love her so well 🤍

we first heard the name Elanie while we were dating and tucked it away for the day we might have a daughter. Kate is in honor of El’s favorite aunt @katiej152, who we hope she looks up to in so many ways. together, Elanie Kate means “pure light” – it is our hope and prayer that she lives up to her name with a life illuminated by God, a reflection of His presence wherever she goes.

to dedicate our girl alongside our precious community group makes me teary just thinking about it. these friends have meant more to us in this season than i can fully put into words. thank you, Jesus, for the gift of community and doing life together! truly our best friends!!!

our heart is for this local church — we’re so grateful for the way @marktlamb & @crmclamb, @annie_cking, and our church family @accbham have loved, pastored, and supported us and now get to do the same for Elanie as she grows. 🫶🏻

Isaiah 60:19-21
“the sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more, for the Lord will be your everlasting light. your days of mourning will come to an end. then all your people will be righteous; they will possess the land forever. they are the shoot i have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor.”

simple but sacred moments I never want to forget from the past month! reminder that social media is a highlight reel 💙 so thankful for all that God is teaching me and shaping in me through becoming a mom. My biggest prayer has been to embrace every single day and every hard moment as my portion for this season. Truly living in so many answered prayers and I pray I never forget that!

“Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup; you make my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance. I will praise the Lord, who counsels me; even at night my heart instructs me. I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭16‬:‭5‬-‭8‬ ‭
