I stumbled across these precious moments from Zambia this past July. None of this was posed, everything you see here is pure.

This has been a constant prayer of mine recently - for everything I do to be pure. From worship, to how I steward everything for God, and how I serve others, I pray that it will be pure. These were just the moments I happened to capture as it was happening. Seeing these photos reminded me of that very second of when it was getting taken and I cherish those memories forever. One month went by so fast, but I’m grateful for all the sweet people I got to do ministry with.

Even after almost three months has gone by ever since I returned, I still hold on to every little thing the Lord taught me. To dwell, to love you more and more, to trust, and so much more. He really can do immeasurably more and is an immeasurably more God - and I believe this trip was an example of that🤍

July 26th, 2026

“We are baptized into death like Jesus. Presented unto the powers of Sheol and the grave, then raised into resurrected life. He has made you His war trophy.”

This is the good news of Jesus Christ:
Man being once in fellowship with God, that is, communing with Him and enjoying His friendship, became irrevocably separated from his Maker through his own disobedience and betrayal towards Him. Thus enters death, destruction, and disease into the perfect world God created. Man is in effect given over into the hands of the enemy of God, and there forever he should have remained unless God Himself had ordained, before the beginning of the world, to save us. To reconcile man back to Himself.

The Father sends His only Son to become flesh and make His dwelling among us. God among the ruined man and the broken world they’ve come to inhabit. Where there was corruption of body and soul Jesus healed, delivered, & set free. Then, after a time, Jesus was arrested, beat, & hung on a cross to die. Being sinless, He bore our sin upon Himself, and paid the price (which is eternal death, to which an eternal Jesus is able to pay) for our own iniquities.
It is then that Jesus descended into Hades and took back the keys of death & hell. The third day He rose victoriously out of the grave, vanquishing His enemy in a mighty & triumphant display of power.

Where we were once subjected to the enemy, him having ground to accuse you of sin come Judgement day (for which all would be found guilty), there is no leg for him to stand on anymore. For Jesus Himself has paid the price for all those who believe in faith and turn from their sin. No longer defined by our iniquity, we are given a new nature in Christ and gifted His own righteousness. The relationship between God and man is now restored by the power of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the cross.

God has waged war for the souls of man and came away victorious. He’s won us back to Himself. For in salvation we have buried the old sin nature, presented to the powers of darkness as war trophies of Christ Himself, then risen to new life in Jesus. Baptism is simply a declaration of that reality, & it’s been long overdue.

Return to Zambia 🇿🇲

Coming back was definitely a mix of nostalgia, gratitude, and realizing how much I’ve changed since I was last here.

Serving with AFM was such a great experience that I personally grew a lot from, and got to meet a lot of great people too!

For a long time, my faith was something I grew up around. This trip came at a point where I’ve been learning what it means to actually make that faith my own — to trust Jesus with my life and identity, not just because of what I was taught, but because I’ve come to believe He is worth following. And so I decided to get baptized in a place that has a special place in my heart. A place I called home for many years.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” - 2 Corinthians 5:17

I’ve never met more godly, sincere, selfless people.

I want everyone to know how well they loved me, each other, and the people of Zambia during the month of July. They were authentic in faith and devotion to God. They served food and collected plates for others. They gave each other their time, bought each other’s meals and snacks, and lended their own clothes. They carried and packed away another’s luggage. They listened to one another, bore each other’s burdens, and encouraged with the truth and hope of the Word of God. They prayed for each other and challenged another with gentleness. They were zealous for the Gospel and passionate to behold the face of Jesus Christ.

I’m here to testify: They lived with peace, joy, honor and integrity. They led with humility and grace. And they held absolute reverence for the call of Christ on their life.
For my team, I want to thank each of you for being your authentic, compassionate, and faithful selves. You have displayed the love of Christ so well. I am endlessly grateful for your example and obedience to God. No greater love can you show the Lord than by laying your life down as a living sacrifice. I await the day I get to see your glory revealed in full from our earthly worship.

As I sat down praying whether or not to post this the past couple of weeks home, I really looked back at the images I was able to capture this month. All of this is worship. In every image is who God calls as His own, and having the privilege to use such a gift to steward what He has created is so beautiful. I’m not the one creating, I am here to show people His creations through the lens, and all glory is for God! Everything you see in this post is just a glimpse of how He moved this past month with so much more to tell🤍

Zambia you will always have a special place in my heart. The Lord was so kind this past month with it being my first ever mission trip and many other “firsts”. God you have opened my eyes in a way I’ve never seen you before and how your goodness is everywhere!

All I can think of during my month in Zambia was how I’m here because of His abounding love He has for us🤍 God moved in so many different ways. The friendships, the memories, and the encounters we had with God & the people of Zambia will last forever.
