Not usually one to post anything too sappy but today I’m saying happy Alopecia Awareness Month to everyone in my life. Thank you to my mom who has always told me how pretty I am. Thank you to my dad whose bad jokes will always make me smile (even when I don’t want to) Thank you to my sister, Avery, who has been with me through it all. Thank you to the rest of my family who have offered endless support. Thank you to my friends who make my abdomen hurt from laughing so hard. Your casual words of kindness mean the world to me. Thank you to the girls soccer team who keep me smiling everyday. Finally, thank you to the beautiful bald women who I follow online and whose posts make me feel a lot less alone (I’m aware they probably won’t see this.) I am the confident person I am today because of all of you. Without the constant support from the people around me I would still be that insecure little girl who thought she wasn’t pretty. Thank you for proving me wrong. 💙💙
