So a bit of context

Jax recruits Gum on the minecraft server to wipe out a monument for him. Now Gum has already been down there fighting for his life for a solid 30 seconds at this point, demanding the help of Jax, who now decides to come down. Spending 10 seconds before even doing anything, Jax assists the crusade. Gum, however, runs out of oxygen. And with only half a heart he realizes he must get out. The much lesser, more stupider Jax ignores the prompt and stays to fight. The more intelligent Gum realises if he doesn’t block the exit the guardian will chase him. Then it happens. A solution. A sacrifice must be made. And given the circumstances would you not do the same? And so the clip begins.

Did Jax need to die here?
