Lillian Wischmeyer has aspired to be a radiation therapist since her cousin, Elise, was diagnosed with anaplastic astrocytoma. Elise received treatment at @uihealthcare—and Wischmeyer often was by her side.

The two-year program offered by the Carver College of Medicine only admits 10 students per year.
