I have a feeling my 50s are going to be my most interesting decade yet. (& that's saying something after my 20s!) 😂

Exhibit A... my husband Kenny, Lillian, our cousin Helena and me at the Zac Brown Band concert...with not one ounce of dignity between us. 😂

It was also one of those nights that holds two things at once. Their guitarist, Hop, has ALS, and seeing him still up there playing was beautiful and hard. I spent part of the night singing at the top of my lungs and part of it in tears remembering my dad's struggle with the same disease. But so very grateful... for the music, for my people and for my friend Donna, who gifted us the tickets.

Maybe you know that feeling. You look around at the life you've built and realize you finally get to be IN it instead of just running it. You want more. Not a different life. MORE of this one. If you've ever wondered whether that makes you ungrateful... I don't think it does.

Being accomplished and knowing your worth are two VERY different things. I've been at the top of my field and still found myself needing something success couldn't give me. For me, that started with Jesus...and we're definitely still working on things over here.

When your worth isn't tied to your title, your choices look different. Mine include working a pizza shop register two days a week. People keep asking why I'd take a job a 16-year-old could do. Honestly? Fun, movement and a job I don't think about for one second after I leave. Turns out wanting more can look a lot less impressive than people expect. 😂

Stick around for laughs (mostly at me), what I'm learning about feeling good in my 50s, including my daily drinky drink (yes, I also have a business with it), and building a business that fits your life instead of swallowing it. And if you've ever wondered why you are the way you are, Lisa and I are SO close to launching The WORTH Experience. You don't have to share my faith to find yourself in it.

If you've built a life you're proud of and still have a whole lot of living left to do, I think we'll get along just fine. Welcome! 🧡

bach weekend !
glory filled joy, toasty red “tans” + many photos to document it all

i could not have asked for a better weekend away with all my girls, i feel so celebrated and covered as we step into wedding week. this time next week i will be a married woman and i know all of the woman surrounding me will walk so near and dear to us, celebrating and covering us through every season we walk in. thank you for the memories that were created and the time dedicated to everything yall did for me! i love you my girls!!

One of the coolest women of God I know.

You’re so full of joy, and compassion, and an eagerness

In honor of Lillian turning 21 today... let me tell you about the time we almost got arrested because of how much she loved us. 😂

Ken and I had earned a trip to Maui. Ten days. First real trip without her. She was staying at Grandma’s and Ken was driving her out of the neighborhood when it happened.

She rolled down the window and started screaming...

“I LOVE YOU MOMMY!!!”

Over and over and over. At the top of her lungs. I screamed back from the driveway. She screamed louder. I screamed louder. The car got further away and somehow we both just... kept going.

A neighbor called the police.
They thought something was terribly wrong.

The officer showed up. Assessed the situation. Realized what was actually happening. And eventually laughed and said the only thing wrong was that we were not taking her to Maui with us.

He was not wrong. 😂

That little girl who screamed I love you out of a moving car window until the neighbors called 911 is 21 today.

She has traveled the world since then. And she has called us from every single place she has been. Introduced us to her friends. Kept us completely in her life even while building one of her own.

The love was real then. It is real now.

Happy birthday to my girl. The one who loved so loud a police officer had to get involved. 😂🤍
