The very first time I met Lillian DaLin Day was the summer before she started 4th grade. She was 9 years old and we met at the Exploreum in Mobile. Her Daddy and I had been "secretly" dating for 7 months and he finally thought it was time for me to meet his kids. We spent the day looking at the exhibits and chatting.

Fast forward to later that summer and we took our first "Knight and Day vacay" together to Disney. This was one of many pics taken on that trip.

This little girl is now a young woman and she graduates later today. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't emotional. I've seen this little girl endure and overcome so much in the last almost 10 years she has been in my life. I didn't give her the gift of life, but life did give me the gift of her.

Lilli, never forget how proud your Dad, LT, Lee-Ellen, and I are of you. You are loved more than you know and I'm thankful that God placed your Daddy, you, and Lane in mine all those years ago. Enjoy today. I can't wait to watch you fly.

Love always,
Your Jana Nana
