Semester 5 Recap💚

This semester reminded me why I love this work. Traveling to Washington D.C., Oklahoma, Indianapolis, and across the state of Ohio I had the chance to grow as a communicator and leader. Balancing travel, coursework, and responsibilities wasn’t easy, but I’m proud of the productivity and purpose that defined Semester 5. Here’s to closing it out strong and stepping into my last semester with intention.

✨Summer 2025 in frames ✨

Over the summer, I chased moments that mattered—snapping photos on hikes with friends 📸, celebrating creativity at my cousins’ poetry gallery 🖋️, exploring agriculture on Farm Bureau adventures 🍓⛴️, inspiring future leaders at ExploreAg camps 🌱, and enjoying Fourth of July sparks 🎆. Each experience reminded me that growth comes from trying and learning.

This season also carried milestones I’ll never forget. I was honored to be elected National ACT Vice President🌱, spent an amazing day at the Ohio State Fair, where I received the Ohio Ag Council Scholarship 🎡, and celebrated one year of Snapshots by Wyatt 📷.

Throughout the summer, I connected with friends and mentors who continue to lift me up, making every moment even more meaningful. All of it became proof that belief, passion, and perseverance make dreams possible.

As I reflect, I’m reminded that everything happens for a reason—every photo I took, every friendship, every challenge led me here. Through it all, I keep learning to chase possibilities, follow my passions, and dream. 🌟

Here’s to one more year at WC! 💚

The second camp of ExploreAg took us to Wilmington College — a place that’s played a big part in my own agricultural journey. 💚

It was special to help welcome a new group of campers to this community and watch them dive into hands-on learning across different areas of the industry. Their enthusiasm and curiosity brought each visit to life.

From agronomy and animal science to food production and equine care, campers had the chance to explore real career paths and connect with passionate professionals who shared their stories.

It was also a joy to capture so many moments from the week — photos that reflect just how much these students grew in such a short time.

The first ExploreAg camp of the summer is in the books — and our week at The Ohio State University – Columbus set the tone for an incredible internship ahead!

This first group of campers brought curiosity, leadership, and a willingness to grow that made every moment meaningful. From industry tours to real-world conversations, they discovered how their interests in agriculture connect to future careers.

Before their graduation ceremony, I had the opportunity to lead a session on professional networking, helping them build confidence in their ability to connect and communicate — skills they immediately put into practice.

It was also amazing to capture so many moments throughout the week, from hands-on learning to team bonding — a great way to grow my own storytelling skills along the way.

Together, we explored:
🌱 Controlled Environment Agriculture Research Complex
🥫 Mid-Ohio Food Bank
🚜 Bane-Welker
🐾 College of Veterinary Medicine
🥩 Meat Science Lab
🛠️ Ag Engineering
⚖️ Ohio State Bar Association
🐖 Ohio Pork Council
🐟 Freshwater Farms
🌾 Heritage Cooperative
🚁 Drone Demo at Burns Beef
🥚 Ohio Poultry Association
🏇 Winner’s Circle Training Center
🐴 Midland Acres
🎰 Eldorado Gaming Scioto Downs

Grateful for this impactful first week — and for all the campers, partners, and experiences that made it so special. T-1 day until ExploreAg Wilmington College!

A sweet start to the summer with ExploreAg and Ohio Farm Bureau! 🍓🌊

Last Thursday and Friday, our internship team kicked off the season with an unforgettable experience. We spent Thursday exploring Put-in-Bay—learning about local water quality efforts that impact Ohio agriculture and enjoying time together on the island. That evening, we strengthened our teamwork skills (and had plenty of laughs) with an escape room challenge!

On Friday, we had the honor of visiting the home and fruit farm of Ohio Farm Bureau President Bill Patterson. From learning about their market and fruit production to making our own strawberry jam with his wife Kristin, the day was full of hands-on learning and meaningful conversations about agri-business and leadership.

If this first week was any sign, this summer is going to be packed with growth, connection, and sweet memories. T-1 day until ExploreAg OSU Columbus!!
