I reflect on my reflection. And I ask myself this question. “Who has helped shaped you this summer?” And my only answer would be the @mcdccolorguard @musiccitydbc. My temporary family in the summer and my permanent family in my heart. Each post encapsulates a moment this summer or post season that makes me happy to look at. Every person I was lucky enough to spend my summers with I have a special place in my heart for. Am I a man? Or am I a muppet…? Well there was a third option this summer, and it was pretty sssssssssweet🐍🐍🐍

Oh how I miss this snake summer so bad take me back to when I was spinning all day long. missing this extra right now since I won’t be spinning this upcoming winter. This is a very late end of season post but thank you so much music city for the 3 amazing season you have given me. Without this organization I wouldn’t be the person I am today. They taught me not only how to be a better performer but how to be a better person and I am forever grateful for that call I got on a random thursday 3 years ago. Thank you to everyone who had supported me through everything I appreciate it more than I could ever say. And thank you to all of my amazing friends who I love so much and have become my life long friends I wouldn’t have been able to make it through the summer without all of you. RTN ⭐️❤️

the summer of a lifetime.

i’ve dreaded making this post because i do not want any of it to be over. and i suck at writing everything out:) this summer was my favorite summer yet. i’m so thankful to have met all of these people, i can’t explain how much they have made an impact on me. this summer completely changed who i was as a person. physically and mentally. im so grateful to all the amazing instructors i had🤍 and friends i made along the way. no one else id rather fiesta with🤍

Part 1 of week 10

It’s hard to put into words what this week has been like for me. I think it’s best if I just kinda type things out as they come to me.

The season is over. And I don’t know if I’m happy or sad about it. This season has been so hard and difficult for a variety of stupid reasons. But then I think of the memories I’ve made, the friends I’ve met, the work I’ve done, and I just wonder if any of it was worth it.

This week was supposed to be the week where everyone celebrates a job well done, they get the relief of all of their hard work paying off, but I didn’t get that feeling. I feel as if this week was robbed from me. Everyone gets to celebrate and enjoy finals week, and I was stuck in a mixture of emotions.

I promise there are several things about this week I’m happy about and I will celebrate for the rest of my life. But there was also something that happened this week that I unfortunately will never be able to forget.

I’ll explain why in the part 2 post.

As for the positives. I feel like I came into myself so much more this year compared to last. I have so many more friends and so many more people I’m going miss and never forget.

I’m also so incredibly proud of the work I’ve put into the field this year. It’s crazy that out of 17(?) shows, I only dropped a total of two times. I didn’t think I would ever be able to say that. But I think it proves how much work I’ve dedicated to bettering myself as a spinner.

I’ve gained so much more confidence and strength, and I can safely say if I survived this season I think I can survive much worse things yet to come.

There are so many people I’m so proud of, and so many friends I’m thankful to have met this year. And I’m going to miss every single one of them. To all of my friends, and too all of the guard staff this year, thank you. Thank you so much for everything. I love you all.

It’s week 9!!!

States we’ve hit: North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Georgia

Holy glow up, week 9 was what I needed to lift me up from last week. I already mentioned my lil mental health crisis last week so I won’t go into all of that, but I can tell you I’m doing much better now.

I got to have my two best performances yet, one of them being Allentown 😛😛😛, I got to see my boyfriend, and I got a free day all in the same week.

Once again music city got the massive honor to use J. Birney Crum as a rehearsal site. And once again I had such an incredible time soaking up the history.

The feelings right now are weird. I’m excited to get back home to normal life but I’m upset that I have to say goodbye to this summer. Plus each show it seems like we get better and better. As of typing this, we are literally half a point away from a new music city record.

I remember last week just wanting to be home and forget it all, but now I’m realizing, I only have 7 days left to get better, to perform, to make memories, to talk to so many of these amazing people I get to call my friends.

I think this next week is when yall are gonna see us do some incredible things at Music City.

I also just wanted to thank my incredibly boyfriend for getting me through last week and for being a shoulder I can lean on. He’s such a sweetheart and helped me out so much. I love you Leo

Also I apologize for only getting curve photos. But that is the only part of the show where I’m near the front XD.

Unfortunately next week will be my last update/season wrap. Love everybody who has helped me get through this season, that includes my family, friends, staff, and my incredible partner.

spring training has come to an end :)

my summer so far with music city has been amazing. i’ve met and gotten so close with so many great people! im so glad i chose to march with music city this summer. it’s been so rewarding, and im so excited for what’s to come with tour🤍
