While we all are soaking in our summer breaks, we wanted to recognize our six new alum! These graduates worked hard both on the field and off and we are so incredibly proud of them! ✨🎓

Words cannot do justice to how this experience felt 🖤 thank you to each and every person who has played a role in getting me here, I’m am so beyond grateful. To my friends, family (drag and otherwise), partner, peers, professors, community, and anyone else who has helped me along the way, thank you so much, I couldn’t have done this without you- genuinely!
Queer students on campus have been made to feel unsafe and unwelcome by administration. Queer people around the world have been made to feel unsafe and unwelcome by our governments and bigots who serve to perpetuate hate and fear.
Despite this all, we are not going anywhere. Queer people have existed for as long as humanity has, and queerness will continue to exist long into the future. I have the privilege of being able to be hyper visible in my queerness because of my drag, and I say that’s a privilege because there are people in my community and around the world who are not able to openly express themselves and be visibly queer, because it is dangerous for them. Whether you have to remain hidden or are able to be as visible as a drag queen, I see you and I love you! You have a community of people who see and love you. I’ll say this again, WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!
As queer people, we need to come together to uplift our siblings and work together to create a better present and future for our community, as well as a better present and future for all of those who are suffering globally. We need to learn, grow, and build together, we are all so capable of those things!!
Anywho! Thank you again to everyone who has been a part of my journey, my degree is not a sole reflection of myself, but of every moment and person who has played a hand in getting me here. As a first generation high school and now college graduate (with a double major in Psychology and Women’s and Gender Studies!!) I am just beyond grateful and happy over this achievement. Mostly, I’m just excited to have some free time, the degree is pretty cool too though
