With deep sadness yet boundless gratitude for a life well-lived, the Ross, Hurtt, Williams & Renfroe family announces the homegoing of our beloved Eleanor Ross-Hurtt. Our angel and protector poured out unconditional love across generations as an adored mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt, niece, and friend to all.
Above every earthly title, she was a steadfast follower of Christ Jesus whose life was a living testament to faith and kindness. While our hearts greatly ache in her absence, we rejoice in knowing she is in the presence of the Lord, resting in everlasting peace. We reflect on the assurance of Revelation 14:13: “Blessed are the dead that die in the Lord from now on....that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.”
Thank you for surrounding our family with your prayers and compassion. Information regarding her homegoing celebration service will be announced shortly, yet it will take place in Detroit, MI.

Grateful for family, love, and precious moments with my grandson this weekend. I’m also incredibly proud of my youngest as he enters his LAST year at Howard University after completing his internship at Bank of America in New York. One more year everyone!!! Thank you all for your continued prayers.

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we, the Ross, Hurtt, Williams & Renfroe family, announce the passing of our beloved Ronnie Ross. Ronnie was born with a special need but never had a need due to the special love and care from his mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, family, and friends!

Ronnie was a cornerstone of our family as a darling son, a revered brother, an adored uncle, and a cherished friend. While our grief is deep, so too is our gratitude for the time God blessed us to share with him. We find our comfort in faith, knowing that Ronnie now rests in the eternal peace of his Savior. We are reminded of the promise in Revelation 14:13, “Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord.”

We thank you for your love and prayers as we navigate this time of profound loss. Our family will share details about the homegoing service celebrating Ronnie’s life in the coming days.
