I have been singing myself to sleep with this song the past few weeks specifically the ending verse thinking about how right now it feels like I’m leaving 2023 with less than I started with but when I look back at all these photos and really think about it, I have so much that I’ve learned even when I’ve lost, and I have made so many things and done so many things. Some very high highs and some low lows. I have always been afraid of change and endings (ahem this song) so holidays like this tend to freak me out a bit. But I am trying to think of this day as just time for reflection with myself and not a countdown (even though there is a very prominent countdown). This caption is jumbled and long but i’m not gonna go back and edit it because it’s what I thought as I typed. I love all the people who were part of my life this year, even the ones who didn’t stick around, because I am coming out of this year with a whole lot in myself this time. That might not have made sense but I think it did. If you read all of this through thanks I don’t really expect that I am mostly writing for future me but I appreciate you very much here is your new years kiss:💋
