three years ago today, sawyer slipped into the spaces between everything. she is everywhere I look and nowhere I can find all at once. she left a sparkly tote bag in my backseat, and a silence I still drive around with. we used to laugh through lyrics like nothing could ever touch us. singing with the windows rolled down as if the world was listening. now I sing alone.
