What the inside of our brains looks like. A flurry of flowers, stems, and color palettes. The beautiful in-between of what happens in our minds and in our dreams long before we ever reach the venue. For our brides, it’s the mood boards and mock-ups. For us, it’s the meetings in between, the hours spent sourcing at the flower market, the search for just the right shade of garden rose. Our hearts were full on Monday when we had the opportunity to help an incredible family honor their loved one at this celebration of a life. A distinct privilege. Just received these photos from a WONDERFUL rehearsal dinner that we were honored to flower last summer. The always perfect Lily and Boothe planned the event (and what went on to be one of the most gorgeous weddings at Beano’s Cabin, Beaver Creek) the absolutely incomparable photographer, Hannah Quintana, captured all the moments…. Wish I could share them all here. Lucky Onion designed the spectacular stationery and event details (other worldly). Make sure you take a moment and look at the work of all three teams. What a joy designing every aspect (not just florals) of this most special rehearsal dinner and welcome party! Reflecting the heart and sprit of this amazing couple, the evening was filled with warm light, gathered details and lovingly considered personal touches. Farmhouse tables casually clothed in one-of-a-kind prints, sterling silver candlesticks paired with vintage clay pot topiaries, rattan baskets + napkins rings, intentionally curated welcome bags and, of course, so many flowers. Garden roses, Dahlias, Snapdragons, Sunflowers, Magnolia, Hawthorne and more. Heartfelt thanks to Holly Buhr of Lily & Boothe for her endless support and impeccable event coordination; to Alex and Katie of Happy Canyon Flowers who brought our tillie floral design brief to life (first-ever floral collaboration and hopefully not the last) and to my fellow tilliegan, Mallory High. Mal’s creative talents, tasteful approach and your sisterhood are unmatched. Mostly, all the love in the world to the new married couple 🧡🥂

A wedding day belongs to two people, but so much of its meaning lives in the people surrounding them. In the parents who have known every version of them. In siblings standing beside them. In the way a mother celebrates her daughter’s first dance, in a father officiating his son’s marriage, and in the laughter, pride, tenderness, and familiarity that can only come from years of loving someone. One of my favorite things to photograph is this part of a wedding day. Nothing quite as peaceful. Or as magical. There’s a particular quiet that settles in when we arrive at a wedding tucked deep into the Rockies. Just us, our team, and an abundance of flowers in hand, ready to be placed, ready to meet the bride, and ready to become part of the most important day of someone’s life. This wedding didn’t need to speak loudly. Its beauty lived in the subtleties. Delicate movement, softened pastel hues, and an almost weightless sense of romance that you could only find through the calmness of the mountains. We’re so proud of this cabin stunner, and if we could choose a late-summer setting to live in, it’s this one.
