Today I’m excited to share @lilyashworth , a Phoenix native and Arcadia High School grad who just wrapped up four years at the College of Charleston—graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and a minor in Hospitality and Tourism.

Lily loved her time in the South. While in Charleston, she balanced academics with real-world experience—joining Zeta Tau Alpha, working weddings as a banquet server, and taking on a second job at a vacation rentals company. One of her favorite memories was a surprise senior snow day on King Street—Charleston’s first snowfall in 7 years. It was magical and everyone’s reaction made it the best day!

Moving forward Lily is headed to Austin, TX, where she’s hoping to build a career in the hospitality industry. She’s looking forward to more structure, a healthy routine, and all the energy that comes with a fresh start in a new city-especially Austin!

Lily’s advice to others headed to college is to “Be patient—and do what you want to do, not what others say you should”.

Lily, I love your perspective, drive and adventure to start your career in a new city. You’re more than ready for what’s next. Austin is lucky to have you – congrats!

Still trying to wrap my head around the fact that @mikaykay03 is officially a College of Charleston graduate with a Business degree! So proud of the hardworking, thoughtful, and determined young woman she’s become. Watching her thrive over these past four years—finding her passion, pushing through challenges, and building the most incredible friendships—has been one of the greatest joys of my life.

It’s bittersweet to see this chapter close, but I know the memories made and the friendships formed will last a lifetime. On to the next adventure, but this mama’s heart is feeling all the emotions today.
