So very thankful to have had the opportunity to stay at @lory_park_midrand and work with their animals through @loopabroad! I might have only been there for two weeks, but now I have knowledge and memories to share for the rest of my life❤️🇿🇦

Disclaimer: these are ambassador animals. All handling and care was performed under the supervision and with assistance from veterinarians and professionals. Be careful and smart around wild animals, and do not try to pet a wild lion🦁

“africa changes you forever, like nowhere on earth. once you have been there, you will never be the same. but how do you begin to describe its magic to someone who has never felt it? how can you explain the fascination of this vast, dusty continent, whose oldest roads are elephant paths?”

the past two weeks, i have had the absolute blessing of exploring the beauty of south africa. i resided at lory park zoo, where i met the most wonderful, amazing people that i have ever encountered in my life. these people are absolutely incredible and what they do for wildlife and conservation is absolutely mind blowing. i promise you, lory park zoo, this is not the last you’ll see of me. i will be back <3

! throughout all photos containing animals, multiple licensed veterinarians and trained staff were present throughout the entire duration of the encounter. encounters were for educational, conservational, or health and care purposes of the animal. all animals pictured are happy and healthy residents of lory park zoo, where we interacted with them to learn about their needs and conservation. please do not attempt to handle any wildlife on your own without the help of professionals !

i urge all of you to check out @lory_park_midrand, @theblackfootedcatproject, and @loopabroad, for their amazing parts in wildlife conservation and for helping me experience the most incredible two weeks of my entire life. through all of them, i have found my passion and who i want to be, i could never thank them enough. let’s loop it back next year?
