+Willis Mathewson- is a drummer and songwriter from New York City whose songs consider climate despair, modern isolation, and the romantic lives of the city’s dogs. In addition to selections from 2021’s “Deco Swamp” EP and the upcoming “(A)live on 8th Avenue!” EP, the live show also features improvised drum/vocal snippets called “drum rants.” Single “I’ve Been Callin,” dropping 7/25/25.
+Lily DeTaeye- NYC-based, Iowa-born Lily DeTaeye blends alt-rock bite with folk fire– delivering raw, raucous live shows and ballads that bleed truth. Think: your weirdest friend from book club–but with better stories and a harmonica that howls.
+These Wild Flowers- singer-songwriter Ben Bullington cut his teeth touring back and forth across the country with Brooklyn indie band Country Mice and later fronted Kansas City based Polaris Park. His songwriting explores seeking hope amid loss or maybe forgetfulness - the quest for a renewed joy in sifting through the dirt.

What a great event @powerhousearena had on Wednesday to celebrate the publication of #binniekirshenbaum’s new novel #countingbackwards. Many thanks to @hlillith for being such a great conversation partner and to @soho_press for being so wonderful to work with. This novel has been getting some wonderful praise and it should. It’s powerful, sad, funny and beautifully written.

A small sampling below:
“[Kirshenbaum] has not lost her knack for narrative propulsion or her ear for pitch black comedy…Her vision has only become bolder and darker…Counting Backwards is the feel-bad novel of the year” — The Washington Post

“Counting Backwards is to illness narratives what yellow is to the rainbow. It mixes well with others, but it’s going to do its own thing — brighten up a room, get on your nerves, define the beginning of a new day or the end of an old one. Its beauty is in the eye of the beholder. This one couldn’t look away, and didn’t want to.” — The New York Times

Touring with friends 1000/10 @lilydetaeye and I continued our tradition of tour dogs, Thai food, and over packing and it’s already been so so beautiful and we’re only 3 days in! Today we’re making our way to Middletown, CT to play @northendartsrising and word on the street is there’s a baby grand just waiting to be played! See you there!
