So grateful for the life I get to live, the people I get to share it with, and a journey that honestly feels like it’s only just beginning. Crazy grateful for everyone who’s supported me along the way. None of it goes unnoticed, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us. 🤍

We don’t get out much. Well I don’t get out much. Lily on the other hand appears to be a social butterfly. Tonight however we both managed to leave the house and hot foot it down to the NGV with our lovely friends at Dulux for the opening of the Cartier exhibition. It was a welcome change from Lycra Ugg boots and unwashed hair which if I’m being completely honest has been my entire personality for the last week. It also served as a timely reminder that I do in fact own dresses. The exhibition is spectacular. The jewels are ridiculous. The craftsmanship is extraordinary. Momentarily Lily and I did consider a heist. We started looking into crane hire and a few other logistical details but ultimately decided it was all a bit much and ordered another champagne instead. Thanks for having us @duluxaus . If you’re thinking about going do it. 11 out of 10.

Things are hotting up around here and it’s probably time for a reintroduction. For those of you who haven’t formally met Lily yet here you go. Meet Lily! Lily is responsible for keeping my brain running in a straight line (and that’s no mean feat) providing excellent snacks and stopping me from acting on ideas that seem brilliant at the time. She’s an interior architect, an artist and the creative brain behind much of what you see at GI, from content creation to artistic direction. (she’s usually the reason things look good!) She’s also one of those deeply annoying people who appears to have won the genetic jackpot in every possible way. Clever. Funny. Kind. Gorgeous. Talented. And many more adjectives but who’s got the time…! Anyway we are thinking of hosting a small (paid) intimate workshop for creatives around how to tackle social media like a pro at my very own digs! When Pat met Julia. The brief was simple, however the shift was anything but. What was once a beautifully built, monochromatic home hadn’t quite caught up with the personalities living inside it. It felt considered, but cautious. Like so many homes built through that COVID period, the structure was there, but the soul was still waiting. Pat and his family had always loved colour, they just needed the confidence to bring it in. We started small with the study, but it didn’t take long before the entire home caught the colour bug. At Pat’s request, one of our first stops was GlobeWest, a brand he already knew and trusted for its style and quality. This time, we approached it with texture, tone and colour leading the way. That day of selecting furniture was a turning point. There was a real ease, a reassurance that everything would come together beautifully. It was a permission slip in real time. What followed was a transformation layered with warmth, personality and depth. To say the Dangerfields will live happily ever after almost feels like an understatement.
