❤️ So many of us grew up loving volleyball without always seeing a lot of people who looked like us playing it. And then there we were — an entire team of Black women, former collegiate athletes, still competing, still loving this game and showing the next generation what was possible.

That’s why representation matters.

Sometimes a young girl just needs to see somebody who looks like her doing the thing she dreams about doing. And I’m so proud that our story gets to be a small part of that.

We’ve watched this sport grow. We’ve watched more Black girls step onto these courts, dominate at every level and change the face of volleyball. To know that we were part of that story in any way is something I’ll always be proud of.

Now, eight years later, we finally get to share OUR story. ❤️
