Ivan Sharma was born in Nepal and came to Canada at seven years old, already living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a condition that has slowly taken his physical strength since childhood.

On our show, he talked about the years he spent unable to separate himself from his diagnosis, the therapy it took to write his memoir, and the men's coaching group that helped him find his voice again.

Near the end, we asked him the question we ask every guest: when this day comes, how do you want to be remembered?

He answered without hesitating...

"A person full of life who never regretted anything, and put himself in front of others, in different challenges, to live to his fullest potential."

We didn't add anything after that. Neither will we here. Full episode coming soon on The Confidence Lab.

Ai Apps think this is what I look like without glasses. What do you think? I’m conflicted since I like my transition lens for UV protection and wind resistance. Otherwise I’d probably try not wearing glasses for a while.

I'm honoured to be featured in @canadasmagicdotcom blogpost 🙏🏾

Most people know that I perform magic 🪄

This blogpost also highlights my intellectual property consulting business. Using my engineering undergrad and law school post grad, I work with Artists, Entertainers, Entreprenuers, Influencers, and Inventors. I guide them to secure and monetize their intellectual property rights. www.iprinfo.ca

Thanks Canada's Magic ✨️

Think you’re in control?

Here’s the truth that most high-performers don’t want to admit:
Only about 5% of your brain’s activity is conscious. The rest? Automatic.

Cognitive neuroscientists estimate that up to 95% of brain activity is unconscious—including beliefs, habits, and even how you perceive opportunities. (Nørretranders, 1991)

Your conscious mind is the visible tip of the iceberg.
The unconscious? It’s the massive structure underneath the surface driving where you drift.

That’s why knowing what to do isn’t enough.
If your unconscious wiring says, “this is unsafe,” your brain will override logic with hesitation or sabotage.

Try this:
Close your eyes, and visualize taking a bold step you’ve been avoiding (pitching, posting, selling, speaking).

Now ask:

“What part of me doesn’t feel safe doing this?”

That’s where the real work begins. And that’s where breakthroughs happen.

Celebrating the seasons shared with Team Elevate and fellow business associates throughout 2023! We have been so blessed with great leadership constantly pouring into us so that we can do the same for our team. Building our brokerage locally and long-distance has its share of challenges, but it has also allowed us to start letting go and let others grow! Looking forward to embracing all the things that 2024 will be bringing our way as we continue to serve our communities!!

Blessed to be part of the 2023 Kick-Off convention.

Being in this industry and in business, if there is one thing that we can share is that your discipline, belief in yourself, and where you focus will determine where you go. 🚀

So often we see people coming into the business wanting all the benefits of being in business and the accolades that come with it, but they don't put in the effort or have vision to build something long term. They chase the next shiny object when the going gets tough. As they say, 90% is mindset & 10% is skillset. The grass is greener where YOU water it.

In life there is always a trade-off. To be an entrepreneur isn't the easiest role to take on, but we must say we have experienced many blessings taking this path and this, folks, is JUST the beginning! 💪🚀🔥
