Music comes from silence.

It starts with listening.

Sometimes it’s a sound, sometimes a feeling, sometimes just a small idea that appears from somewhere I can’t really explain.

I don’t like to force music too much. I prefer to give it space, to stay open, and to follow where it wants to take me.

A note becomes a rhythm, a rhythm becomes a melody, and slowly a story begins to reveal itself.

For me, silence is important because It gives every sound more meaning.

Without silence, there’s no contrast. There’s no space to really listen, to feel, and to be moved by what is happening.

Music comes from silence…

and eventually, it returns there too.

El bazar nunca fue solo un mercado.

Fue un lugar de encuentro. Mercancías, personas, lenguas, técnicas, conocimientos y formas de hacer circulaban por el mismo espacio y continuaban su camino.

La cultura crece así: cuando algo pasa de unas manos a otras, de una lengua a otra, de un lugar a otro.

El intercambio no ocurre alrededor de la cultura. Está en su origen.

The bazaar was never just a market.

It was a place of encounter. Goods, people, languages, techniques, knowledge and ways of doing things moved through the same space and continued on their way.

Culture grows this way: when something passes from one set of hands to another, from one language to another, from one place to another.

Exchange does not happen around culture. It is at its origin.

Memories from the Yucatán, Mexico.

From five months pregnant onwards, my pregnancy was painful and at times traumatic. I was bedridden with complications when I ‘walked’ away from my daughter’s father. Even then I knew that staying in a relationship that kept my nervous system on alert would only make things worse.

A friend offered me his countryside home, and with little work left before the birth, I used his space to explore and create. What came out of it was a free art installation for the local community.

These photos are the bright moments of a time spent in deep solitude.

Late one night, while I was filming the installation, I met a woman who turned out to be an editor for design magazines. She became a dear friend, and through her, my interior architecture work with Sublime Studios later made the covers of Vogue Australia and Elle Decor Italy and much more. Back then I shuffled through the heat, wondering why I felt the need to give when I had so little energy left. Later I could see the universe had been smiling at me the whole time. The ripple effect of love is beyond what we can understand.

Be good because you are good, not because of who you’re being good to.

When you close your heart or your mind,
you hide in the darkness within you.
That is what it means to be blocked.

There’s a very simple method for staying open.
You stay open by never closing.
It’s that simple.

Just relax and open.

My Hitchhikers, thank you, thank you. 💫

It’s been a dream of mine for a while to bring together some of the islands amazing performers, actors, artists and creatives for something as special as a Solar eclipse.

On 12 August, I got that chance thanks to the syzygy alignment of three celestial bodies, a once in a lifetime occurrence in Ibiza. Oh and my birthday.

For those that came down, thank you, for the energy, smiles and genuine curiosity. You trusted us with your eclipse, and that means a great deal.

The event took a village to put on and we could not be more proud of the incredibly talented souls who pulled this together. To everyone who built this thing a huge thank you:
