12 pictures for 12 memorable days in 2025. A year filled with so many new experiences, inspiring people, valuable friendships and meaningful moments. Excited for what there is to come! 💫

2 - Start of a ceasefire, filming in Sderot, southern Israel.
3 - Spent some time at @bayerischer_rundfunk in Munich and interviewed the outgoing @bundeskanzlerscholz
4 - Good Friday in Jerusalem
5 - Vacation in Morocco, Casablanca
6 - Touring Israel and the West Bank with @natalie_amiri for her latest book
7 - Filming in Jenin, occupied West Bank, for the first longer film I contributed to: Journalism and the Gaza war
8 - A small break between countless live hits during the war between Israel and Iran. Smiling for the picture but I don’t think I had ever been more exhausted.
9 - Thrilled to be among the top 30 journalists of @medium.magazin this year #top30bis30
10 - Vacation in Sri Lanka, Sigiriya
11 - First time going live for @tagesschau ‘s flagship broadcast at 8pm after Israel’s attack in Doha. Nervousness on a whole other level.
12 - Preparing for a live hit in Tel Aviv while the remaining hostages are released
13 - Accompanying children from Gaza who were flown out to Ljubljana for medical treatment. Truly memorable.

Danke @limpertain Christian Limpert!

Around 200 media workers have been killed in Gaza since October 2023. Almost two years into the war, Israel continues to bar international journalists from entering independently.

Speaking to colleagues in Gaza who continue working despite losing friends and family, despite hunger, heat, and the fear of being targeted.
It is because of their courage that we are able to see images and hear voices from Gaza.

Broadcasted on ARD-Weltspiegel, 31.08.25.

To flee Gaza City or refuse displacement?
Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians are faced with this impossible choice as Israeli troops advance toward them. Our colleagues in Gaza met two men: one will once again flee with his family, while the other says he would rather be killed— with the painful awareness that this is a realistic scenario.

Thanks to our brave colleagues @mhmadabusaif and @sawahabu

Broadcasted on ARD-Tagesthemen, 24.08.25.

After a short break, I am now back in Tel Aviv and I’d like to say thank you to our amazing team. In tough times like these past weeks have been it’s really important to have good colleagues. During the war with Iran we moved to a hotel with a big underground shelter to be safe and able to continue working, when the ceasefire began we returned back to our office.
