Over the coming weeks, young people in Curaçao and the Netherlands are exploring what role tourism can play in a more sustainable future. Today we sat down with @mitchelllammering , co-founder of @limpirecycling . ♻️

Every year, thousands of visitors enjoy our beaches, and that creates alot of waste. Limpi Recycling collects that plastic waste and turns it into recycled products, giving it a second life on the island.

Such a treat stumbling upon the @limpirecycling factory the other day. Right in the middle of Sambil mall (Curaçao) they have a factory where they recycle local plastic waste into meaningful souvenirs; keyrings, magnets, luggage tags, coasters and so much more!

Miss Universe @fatimaboschfdz recently visited Sea Turtle Conservation Curaçao (STCC), where she learned about the island's sea turtle conservation efforts. During her visit, she joined the team in several conservation activities, gaining firsthand experience in protecting these remarkable marine animals and their habitats. As a token of appreciation, STCC presented her with a special gift made by @limpirecycling and engraved by @elitelaserworks59 to commemorate her visit and support for sea turtle conservation. Thanks to all people involved in making this possible.

Come check out the Future Goals open air expo in the alleys of @kurahulanda upcoming 4th of July, your last chance! This is an initiative with local partners @limpirecycling and Sandals foundation, making football available to everyone and inspiring & motivating the next generation when it comes to playing the game. One of the main objectives of Future Goals is to give back to the local community, which is why they involve local partners wherever possible. For example, @limpirecycling, a Curaçao-based plastic recycling company, who is responsible for manufacturing the goals using fishing nets and plastic waste.

From the ocean, for the future 🌊

On World Ocean Day, #FutureGoals students unveiled a vibrant public art installation in Curaçao, created from recycled blue and yellow materials to celebrate @thebluewaveffk’s historic World Cup qualification and four years of the program's impact across the island.

Het duurt nog maar 18 dagen tot Dushi Curacao verschijnt! 🎉 -Tenzij je naar @feelgoodfiesta in Tilburg komt, dan kun je hem over 14 dagen al hebben.-

Voor ik 'Dushi Curacao' ging schrijven en het alleen maar een vaag idee was, zei Bob (Duikinstructeur van Divers republic op Daaibooi beach) tegen mij, dat ik dan wel een goeduitziende, stoere duiker in mijn boek moest hebben. Ik zei dat ik dat zou doen, maar hem dan wel Bob zou noemen.
Het werd een vaste grap elke keer als hij me zag: 'Hoe gaat het met de duiker?' en ik zei dan: 'o hij is de meest sexy duiker in het boek!! (Eh ook de enige)

En toen @wienietwegisisnadine tijdens het interview op @paradisefmcuracao er dus iets over vroeg klikte in mijn hoofd: 'O ja Bob. Sexy Duiker.' En dat zei ik dus ook hardop. 🤦🏼‍♀️
Ik had vooraf afgesproken geen namen te noemen of te veel in te gaan op 'echte' personen en wie dat zijn, maar wat doet ze met haar grote muil als ze live op de radio is?? ' Sexy duiker? Ja, Bob, van Divers republic!' 🫩

Maar bij deze Bob, draag je titel met trots! ♥️
