✨This chicken pot pie recipe deserves to be shared again… and so does this moment with my daughter.❤️

🥧 Classic Chicken Pot Pie (40-Year Old Recipe from a dear friend)

Ingredients:

* 2 pie crusts (homemade or store-bought)
* 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken breast
* 4 Tbsp butter
* 1/2 cup celery, sliced
* 1/3 cup onion, chopped
* 1/3 cup flour
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1/4 tsp black pepper
* 1/2 tsp celery salt
* 1/4 tsp sage
* 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
* 2 cups chicken broth

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Add onion and celery; sauté until soft and translucent.
3. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, celery salt, and sage to form a roux.
Slowly whisk in chicken broth, stirring constantly until thickened.
4. Stir in frozen vegetables and chicken. Mix well and remove from heat.
Let the filling cool slightly.
5. Place bottom crust into a pie dish.
Pour in filling, then top with second crust.
Seal edges, cut slits (or design it pretty!)
6. Bake for 40–50 minutes, until golden brown and bubbling.
7. Let sit 10–15 minutes before slicing. Enjoy!

COUNTDOWN ALERT!

The lead up to Fiber Flurry 2025 gets off to a start THIS WEEKEND with the opening of Rooted: Buried Treasures - join us Friday, March 28 at 6:30 p.m. for an artist's reception and cast your vote for People's Choice!

See the stunning work of 20 highly skilled and accomplished artists in a gallery exhibition of fine fiber and fiber related art in our beautiful gallery in downtown Perry, NY curated around the ACWC's 2025 theme of "Treasure."

Artists were asked to submit fiber and fiber related work that speaks to handwork, digging into something to discover its value, creation of something deeply rooted with a strong foundation and the tactile nature of working in fiber as an art medium. Other acceptable themes included veins, threads, precious metals and mining, hinting at things that lie beneath the surface and valuable assets (including secrets).

A roster of exhibiting artists will present artists talks in our gallery about their process, practice and shared craft from 11am - 1pm on Saturday, March 29. Join us for one, or both events for a weekend of art and fiber!

Awards for the exhibit will be presented at Fiber Flurry 2025 on Saturday, April 26, 2025 as part of the day's festivities - Mark your calendars for April 25, 26, 27 and visit artswyco.org for a full schedule of the weekend's fiber festivities!

See you Friday!
