@texturekortrijk presents Don't Forget To Grow by @lindertsteegen @streetandgraphicart @wonder_festival Somewhere between a dream and a day, the world grew tall. This autumn, Texture’s museum square will be transformed into a surreal, colourful garden filled with monumental inflatable sculptures by artist Lindert Steegen, in collaboration with SAGA. Flowers and plants literally grow right above your head, inviting you to dream big, stay curious and keep growing. A lovely nod to Texture’s own plant-based story: from flax growing in the field to textiles in the museum. 📍@texturekortrijk Noordstraat 28 WONDER brings a unique discovery parcours exploring design, technology, art and innovation in Kortrijk UNESCO City of Design, from 27 October to 8 November 2026.

Thanks to the open call, WONDER captures a rich snapshot of what is moving the design and creative communities. Six overarching themes were defined that link the many installations together. They reveal underlying connections and will invite visitors to experience the festival not merely as a collection of individual exhibitions, but as a journey through ideas, materials and visions of the future. ©️ @motiefcollectief DINE WITH US: Dining as a ritual of togetherness, time and shared experience. ©️ @sld_atelier @toietmoi.studio_ @delphinepiri Photo by @marlenstudio DIGITAL POWER: This two-part story explores both the stifling and the liberating aspects of technology. ©️ @man0n0n0 ECHOES OF THE EARTH: Design and art as living, ongoing processes. ©️ @larbitssisters DESIGN IS PLAY: Design as an invitation to wonder, experimentation and playfulness. ©️ @lindertsteegen @streetandgraphicart UNFOLDING DESIGN: Design as an open process. ©️ @jeffrey.huyghe TOUCH TEXTILE: A tribute to Flanders’ rich textile tradition, and to its future. ©️ @gaspard.fleury.dugy

AD: More happy memories from my recent trip to Bruges! Thank you @VisitBruges for inviting me for a truly magical weekend in Bruges, taking in all of the rich history and Flemish masterpieces! I especially loved visiting the brand new contemporary art museum @BRUSKBrugge, two incredible exhibitions connecting the past with the present. I really appreciated the attention to detail across the entirety of this historic city. Everyone was so friendly and even as a solo visitor, I was made to feel very welcome. I strongly recommend downloading the Visit Bruges APP which has helpful discovery routes tailored to your interests, helping you discover ancient art and museums or even the most recent contemporary architecture. #VisitBruges @VisitFlanders My Bruges Highlights: 1. BRUSK museum’s portal designed by Lindeert Steegen, a multidisciplinary artist and designer from Brussels. 2. Portrait of Margaret van Eyck painted in 1439 by the Early Netherlandish master Jan van Eyck 3. The Last Judgment triptych, painted around 1486 by the Dutch master Hieronymus Bosch 4. La Sultana Rossa (The Red Sultana), a famous Renaissance portrait that is widely believed to depict Hürrem Sultan, painted by Titian 5. Detail from The Ascent into the Empyrean, an oil painting by the Early Netherlandish master Hieronymus Bosch created around 1505–1515 6. ‘Portrait of an African Man’, an oil-on-panel painting by Dutch Renaissance artist Jan Mostaert created around 1525 to 1530. The painting is believed to depict Christophle le More, a Black archer who served in the bodyguard of Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. This theory could be supported by the badge of the Virgin on his cap, which would be a souvenir from a pilgrimage to Halle. He has also been said to be a member of the entourage of Margaret of Austria, Duchess of Savoy at her court in Mechelen. 7. BRUSK, the impressive, new state-of-the-art museum building. Architect designed by Robbrecht & Daem and Olivier Salens architects.

In Bruges, Belgian artist @lindertsteegen transforms Salon Arents into a vibrant temporary artwork, using the historic building itself as a canvas as part of the opening programme surrounding @bruskbrugge. Located along the Dijver canal, the 18th-century townhouse becomes a striking composition of bold colour through the building’s existing architecture. Steegen works with the negative spaces left by former windows, filling these openings with vivid geometric forms that create a playful dialogue between the historic façade and contemporary art. For Steegen, whose multidisciplinary practice spans murals, sculpture, objects, and painting, transforming everyday spaces is a way to bring art closer to people. With a background in both architecture and graphic design, his work balances abstraction and figuration through a bold use of colour, aiming to create moments of joy while encouraging people to see familiar places differently. 🎨🏛️🌈✨🇧🇪 📸 @lindertsteegen

? Het was onze laatste klasactiviteit. We zwaaiden hen daarna uit richting de zomer en hun volgende school. Het ga hen goed! #slcbilzen #kunst #streetart #bilzen #onderwijs
