A postcard from a Lady Folk summer 🦋 Summer has a way of stealing our attention out west. The backroads beckon our fingertips out the car window to play in the warmth of the wind and the romance of the season’s never-ending evenings throw us into a soft and sometimes hot trance. You know, since Lady Folk’s inception, I’ve always believed that there is magic to taking people along with you in storytelling. When it’s raw. When it’s vulnerable. When it’s still becoming. Now I’m learning that there is beauty in sharing from what’s alchemized, too. Coming down from our wedding last month, it dawned on me that this is the longest I’ve been inactive on my business account. & although every cell in my millennial, recovering “girl boss” body is begging me to apologize for being MIA ✌🏼 I’m not going to do that. Because it was intentional. Because this is the happiest I’ve ever been. & I’m not at all sorry. Connection still deepened. The algorithm didn’t miss me. My business is still here wide-eyed. What I didn’t share was that I was burnt outtt. Burnt out from rebranding so freshly postpartum. Burnt out from opening a window into my life that wasn’t always earned. Burnt out from hyper comparing myself to other creatives and writers in my industry. Burnt out from convincing myself that I needed to scale a business if I was going to be an ambitious mom. & for the first time in the last five years, I chose to turn in, slow down, and have compassion for myself. Instead of outsourcing the decision making and leadership of my own creative studio to someone else. It worked. Stepping into the fall/winter season, I feel like the most aligned and alive version of myself. Lady Folk is a small business. I book one large copywriting and messaging collaboration at a time - beyond my retainer content marketing clients. Not only because I have purposefully carved out more time to be at home with my family; but because I pour my whole heart into the collaborations and clients in front of me. I will always specialize in wedding copywriting and brand storytelling for women; because it’s who I am. Making poetry and community from the message that’s bigger th

It’s easy to see why Fest of The West Field Day has become one of Tributary’s favorite summer traditions. Generations of members came together for Western-inspired games, playful competition, and the kind of laughter that turns a holiday weekend into lasting memories. #TributaryClub #FourthOfJuly #TetonValley #PrivateClubLife #SummerInTheMountains
