Auction gem alert 🐘 🐪 🐊 🐍 🦒

Back in 1957, Enzo Mari challenged himself to create an entire zoo from a single block of wood using one continuous cut. After countless sketches, he arrived at this deceptively simple solution: sixteen animals, all interlocked inside a neat rectangle, each shape helping create the next. 16 animali was born. Since then, this little beauty edited by Danese Milano has lived many lives and inspired many tributes.

In 2019, Danese invited sixteen artists including @arthurarbesser, @elenasalmistraro @nathaliedupasquier and @olimpiazagnoli to pimp up one animal each, resulting in a glorious clash of colours and patterns.

My favourite homage, however, remains the delicious gingerbread cookie zoo by @lindseygazel but I would settle for an original puzzle like the one going under the hammer via @drouot_paris next week. (Malika)

A full month for @joinzerocollective ✨

From a lunch and learn at the SJC office on investment pieces and circular fashion, to @thebrandisfemale’s “Building Brands for Women” event, to supporting “Your Next Financial Chapter” with @alessiasculpt, to an afternoon at Living Beauty, we spent the month in rooms full of women thinking intentionally about how they spend, dress, and show up. ✨
