Loved glamming this party with one of my team artists @lindseysykesmakeup as my assistant 👯‍♀️

We usually schedule about 45 minutes per person (other than the bride), but adding an assistant cuts it down to 30!

Assistants apply false lashes, mascara, and lips! They also might help with prep, sanitation, and any other small tasks to help the day run smoothly 🫶🏼

If you have an assistant option, I’d love to hear what they do for you as I’m sure we all do it a little differently!

The last thing you expect is to blow a fuse and lose power. 😅

But here’s the thing! Your clients don’t need you to panic. They need you to lead.

Instead of spiraling, I focused on what I could control

• Stayed calm
• Assessed the situation
• Quickly found a new location with power
• Asked for help moving my setup
• Kept communication clear and positive

One thing that saved us? I intentionally build a 30-minute buffer into my wedding timelines. That extra cushion gave us room to relocate my entire set up and still finish on time!

The bridal party jumped in, we moved everything, and not a single service ran late.

Wedding mornings rarely go exactly as planned. Your ability to stay calm, problem solve, and adapt is just as important as your skills.
