Happy birthday Libra mama,
Ann Lauraine Moritz,
I miss you, I miss our crazy convos, our laughs and movie nights,
I don’t miss our fights,
But would we even be mother and daughter if we didn’t argue?
I was in meditation this morning after lighting you a candle and images started to flash in front of me,
The stages of you
The different ages,
It’s hard to believe you would be 81 today
Your youthful spirit was contagious in so many ways,
Even though the ptsd takes me to horrific pictures in my mind of the last time seeing you,
I try to replace it with your smile and the way you made people laugh,
Your kind heart.
You were such a warrior,
A lover, a leader, an incredible mother.
I know you’re praying for peace for this world,
I am too.
It’s taken a wild turn
I bet you’re eating popcorn right now witnessing the political shenanigans,
And screaming inside watching all the innocent people dying.
I’m afraid it’s going to get worse before better,
To dismantle the structures that no longer work,
Can your spirit friends help us build a new earth,
One where we love each other and honor our differences,
One where we see each other through the eyes of God
Respect the land that we call home,
That we take care of our brothers and sisters.
Thank you for passing the word,
I know your magic can move mountains.
On this day we celebrate you,
And the light that you brought into this world and continues to shine through your children, grandchildren
Friends and past partners.
I’ll play Bob all day for you.
Love you mama,
Your Alybee ❤️

That’s a wrap on @ccmaofficial Week 2025 in Kelowna, BC! 🤠🎶

So proud of this town, our community, and the resort—we truly shined bright for country music and Canada this week. ✨

Some highlights I’ll never forget:
💛 CCMA House nights with my besties + husband
🎤 The intimate songwriter sessions at @rotarycentreforthearts —hearing the stories behind the songs we sing on the radio. Including @lowell______
🎸 Our resort’s 20ft Grand Guitar build (!!)
👢 Dressing country at work all week
🎨 Art installations lighting up the city

Until next time, CCMA! 🪕🍷🌄

To my community: from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! Today we were able to raise a total of $1150 for @pawsitforward

Saving animals is a cause that is so near and dear to my heart and I’m crying again as I’m writing this! Every single penny we raised will go directly towards saving so many more animals and helping them get a second and better chance at life. 🥹☺️

I’m going to bed with such a full heart tonight knowing how incredible of a community we have and how you guys show up to support every. Single. Time. I have a cause I want to raise money for.

From the help of the community as well, we also ran a little dog food drive to give to paws it forward so more babies can have good, treats, toys and whatever other goodies they might need for a good life.

(My donation will go in tomorrow, so there is still time if we want to round this number up! 😉)

To all 22 of you who showed up to sweat today… eat a big lunch and enjoy those sore muscles 😘

So so so much love!!!! Xo, coach Cara 🫶🏻
