Learning from other Pilates practitioners is an important part of the journey. I’m starting a new series where I highlight Pilates teachers from different backgrounds. We all have something to learn and something to teach 💪🏻

Years ago I would host “Ladies Night” on “Patio 796” with my sister friends. IYKYK

Years have passed. We’ve moved. Friendships evolved and some drifted. The distance of my home is considered “far” for most. But what I’ve always been able to count on, even with our lives evolving, is that my sisters were and still our my safe space.

For those that know me well, we know my home is my safe space as well and I’m intentional about those who enter it.

A few years back I prayed fervently for sisterhood and God begin allowing women to enter my life.

Last night, I was blessed to be able to share with my sisters who’ve been there for me since and before “Patio 796”, my blood sister @bekkkyyyy , her fiancé @nayltalk_ , my forever neighbors that became family, @browneyestwin @get__pressed and @disblckgirlrocks and my good sis @niaddillon we stacking on years of friendship 💯❤️

I also was blessed to share our space and open our sister circle up with my girlfriends I’ve met through Pilates over the past few months who continue to pour into me, show up and be their authentic selves: @lineofdestiny @whitneypalmer701 @ashleymarissa84

All of these women and I do mean all, are true sisters. We talk. We laugh…a lot! We cry, if we have to. We love. We support out loud and without secrecy. Without looking for anything transactional or seeking anything to gain — other than safe space.

This is more than my village. More than a tribe. These are my sisters. And I couldn’t be more grateful ❤️

Today I enjoyed 2 back to back Pilates classes at @thepilateskrewela instructed by the amazing @lineofdestiny

Then headed to @aperitif_spritzbites for a late lunch to wrap up the evening! Great conversations, connections, food, drinks and exercise - making space for beautiful experiences and connections 🫶🏾

Ugh so much fun when you’re with a great group of women. Loving all the sisterhood & bonds forming from the studio. Here’s to womanhood & getting into the best shape yet.

Shout out to Keia (Keia Hagler to be exact! 🤭) for putting on the cutest events & we gonna pull up every time 🤎💃🏽
