If you have never experienced first hand, here is a little insight into Kamdan’s brain. He spent 5 hours at a basketball camp today, when I picked him up, he spent the walk to the car, the ride home, and the next half hour til he left telling me about how great his lunch was. 🤣 I have no idea how the camp went, I couldn’t tell you one thing they did that had anything to do with basketball. But I can tell you from start to finish every detail of lunch time. When we do anything, Kamdan just asks about the food - going on a trip? “What are we going to eat while we are gone?” Going to Portland for the day? “What are we having for lunch and dinner?” After we eat lunch? “What’s for dinner?” Tucking him into bed at night? “What’s for breakfast tomorrow?” This kid plans his life around food. And if you’ve spent any time with him, I’m 99% sure you have heard him ask about where and when his next food source will be.

The show runs from Oct. 14 - Nov. 14.

This exhibition features ceramics, textiles,
and mixed media sculpture using found/natural materials.

Join Carlton Observatory for an evening with Dr. Charity Woodrum, a NASA astrophysicist, as she shares the latest discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope. Hear what Webb is revealing about the early universe, distant galaxies, and the questions it’s helping scientists answer, all explained for curious minds of every age and background.

This is a rare chance to hear directly from a working scientist, ask your own questions, and spend an evening under the stars at one of Oregon’s most unique venues.
