Today, I had the privilege of sitting down with entrepreneur, visionary, and dear friend Dan Costa for an inspiring interview for our Living WELL Podcast!

He opened up about his humble beginnings, working as a dishwasher at just 14, to building and reinventing successful businesses, to identifying timing and methods for your business exit strategy, Dan’s journey is a powerful lesson that our struggles can be the catalyst to our greatest victories.

I love how Dan shared his philosophy on business, failure, and reinvention, as though you’re a heavyweight boxer stepping into the arena. Implementing your WILD vision isn’t about avoiding getting knocked down. It includes taking a few punches, adapting, and using every experience to come back stronger.

What impressed me most wasn’t simply Dan’s achievements, it was the people Dan invested in.

Dan has an extraordinary gift for recognizing potential in others. Rather than simply seeing what someone is today, he sees who they could become—he then relentlessly invests his time, knowledge, and resources to help them reach their potential, often becoming business partners with them along the way.

I especially loved reflecting on the time Dan spent with our WELL graduates. He and Kevin invited our graduates into their kitchen implementing focus groups, cooking alongside them, inviting their honest feedback for the future of @kevins.natural.foods . Dan and Kevin implemented our WELL graduates’ discoveries. Making them feel a part of something special.

We also explored how markets evolve, why understanding the changing consumer is essential, and how failures and perceived weaknesses can become our greatest competitive advantages.

My biggest takeaway: Your circumstances don’t define your potential. Your setbacks can become your strengths, and your success becomes even more meaningful when you help others succeed.

Dan, thank you for sharing your journey, your wisdom, and your genuine heart for people. I admire your entrepreneurial spirit, I admire even more, the opportunities you’ve created for others.

🎙️ Stay tuned for our next Living WELL Podcast featuring Dan Costa. This is an episode you won’t want to miss. 🩷
