We connect talented and passionate individuals from BIPOC communities to opportunities within the craft beer industry. 🤝 #LinkUp

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This is iteration # 7 of @coldbearbrewco’s West Coast IPA series, Golden Bear, and it’s hopped with Nelson Sauvin, New Zealand Cascade, and Nelson Sauvin cold pressed Hop Juice.

It’s 6.6% ABV, pours clear and gold in colour, and immediately the palate gives earthy and floral with bitter citrus pith. Pine comes through as well on an overall dry palate. There’s also zesty orange, gooseberry and passion fruit with a wicked clean finish. Great stuff as always.

Thanks @nathanielperreault and @hughbrews for hooking it up!

A dream unfilled is work still left to be done.

Let that thought breathe & resonate with you.
Especially on a day that we are celebrating a lifetime spent in service of the community & the greater good of all humanity.

While today also feels steeped in darkness for many of us, it needs to be a reminder of the fact that none of us win when the existence of white supremacy & privilege are allowed to prosper.

White supremacy & privilege must end. Colonialism must cease to exist. Once they're no longer a part of our world, we can start to see each other as humans & hopefully start to rebuild our humanity in the process.

But aa long as it exists, the brilliant & beautiful words of #DrMartinLutherKingJr continue to fall on deaf ears, & the injustices of racism, sexism, misogyny, classism, & any other prejudice will continue to decay the world & all people in it.

Wake up & do better. Speak & live in truth instead of hiding from it & actual, factual history. Break the chains of hate that separate us by living in the love & truth that can heal & bring us together. Stop promoting & supporting those who desire to benefit themselves (only) by repeating history instead of learning from it.

Or don't, & the nightmare continues to erase the dream.

#FightThePower ✊🏽😎🍻 #MLKDay

#8833 Wellington x Link Up x Guelph Black Heritage Society x Guelph.Beer Culture Quest Pale Ale (Canada)

Last weekend was the inaugural BIPOC-focused Culture Quest event on the Guelph.Beer Bus, and this is the Pale Ale brewed to celebrate it. Coming in at 5.4%, it pours opaque with a foamy head and a tropical nose, I’m getting tons of dank citrus, dusty tropical fruit and melon vibes, it’s juicy with a light, pithy bitterness, it’s crushable af with a bone dry finish. Amazing - grab it and support the squad!-

#8675 Brothers Lamplighter (Canada)

The penultimate stop is Brothers in downtown Guelph, and this is their IPA. Coming in at 6.5%, it appears to be a Westy, it pours clear with a foamy head and a malty, piney nose, its crisp and smooth with a great grassy bitterness, there’s a nice citrusy spritz, it’s crushable and balanced with a dry, bitter finish. Great stuff.
