WE DID IT AGAIN!!! This time it was @sobremesaoak and it was a total vibe. Every time we get together with our amazing friends @liondancecafe we cook our hearts out, build community and inspire each other. We had such an Amazing time giving tribute to our heritage’s with an all vegan menu that was so harmonious, it was truly special.

It means the world to me to call these 2 wonderful Chefs = Family ❤️
It’s always a true honor! AND they got to meet baby Mason that night!!!

Also a huge shout out to the dopest brewer out there @thomasdangvo from @calicraft who brought the goods with such an amazing beer lineup.

Also huge shout out to my fantastic friend @astrologybyceleste for coming through and doing special readings for all the great guests dining with us that night. I truly appreciate you and your years of support 🙏🏽

Man what a time!!! Can’t wait for the next one!!!

SO GRATEFUL

Holy smokes, y’all… what a weekend! It started with Ken of @turnerskitchensf’s insanely kind endorsement, leading to our busiest Friday EVER!

Then yesterday, @abineely at @missionlocal published one of the most generous write-ups of our little shop to date, bringing about our fastest ever perfect sell of bread [swipe to read some snippets, or check out the link in our bio for the full article]!

I am completely beside myself with gratitude - for my parents and family, for my amazing team, for the incredible food + beverage community that has welcomed and supported us, and for all of you for cheering us on in person and online.

There’s so much more we want to do, and can’t wait to keep growing, but first, let’s enjoy this win!

Celebrated our team this weekend with absolutely delicious @liondancecafe food and karaoke. We are still dreaming about the gnocchi and milk bread.🍞

Our favorite part of Popoca, is and will always be, the people we get to work with. They’re kind, hardworking, and talented. Big thanks for making this place what it is. You know you got a great team when they show up and show out with their karaoke hits.

The first six weeks of 2025, on film. Mostly shot on expired rolls (kindly gifted by @amandacrew) on both my Minolta 35mm and Pentax K1000. Getting back into film photography has been a transformative act of resistance and empowerment ✨

Weekend eats - now in SF for the next week yay

1. @blooms_end pistachio and aprium croissant during their citrus special weekend

2. Yummy kiwi w granola, Greek yoghurt and hazelnut and almond nut butter

3. It got a bit mangled during the hike but a whole meal bagel from @thebagelmillpetaluma with green tomato, red onion and scallion cream cheese

4. A stunning dinner at @moongatelounge by @liondancecafe (menu at the end). This was the prosperity toss salad which may have been my fav dish

5. More @liondancecafe amazing food including sesame focaccia and mapo beans

6. Olive rice, leeks in fresh tofu with taucheo, preserved gaichoy, ginger leaf pickled chilli, and pomfret aromatics

7. Almond sesame cake!

6. Breakfast this morning in our temporary no kitchen situation

Another memorable and delicious Chef Collaboration dinner at @greensrestaurant, this time with Bay Area favs @liondancecafe. The Lunar New Year menu included Cauliflower Rangoons w/ cultured @hodofoods soy milk cream cheese, Yusheng Prosperity Tossed Salad w/ sour plum dressing, King Oyster Mushroom Scallops over glass noodles, Char Siu Lion’s Mane, and LDC’s signature Warm Pandan Nian Gao w/ @hodofoods soy milk ice cream + purple sweet potato anglaise. And as if this wasn’t a dreamy enough evening, I lucked out and got my girl @naturallyella to be my date (and graciously assist me while shooting).
