10 things that have been tried and tested….. I’m very much still figuring things out but these are a few things I live by. Any resonate? What’s something you live by?

1
Be kind and generous to everyone. It doesn’t cost anything to give your attention and energy to someone and it can change their day. You might make a friend or two along the way.
(I was neither to Kat when we met and yet she still let me be her friend, nearly fumbled that one!)

2
Be patient. What’s meant for you will come. This works for so many things, but I use it all the time to curb impulsive purchases. Wait a week (or 2) and see if I still need it (I usually don’t).

3
Just choose the next GOOD thing when making a decision. I struggle with decision fatigue try to remember all of my choices got me here, even the “bad” ones. It helps when I struggle to make a choice. You can always change your mind and choose the next good thing.

4
Define what you want, get excited about it, then talk everyone’s ear off about it. You’ll always find someone stoked to help or connect you someone who can. I’ve literally floated through life this way, supported by the incredible people around me who just want to see me succeed.

5
Do/wear/make/be what you want. People will either celebrate you or ignore you- people aren’t thinking about you that hard so just live your life how you want to.

6
Share your successes and talents and interests. I’ve spent so many years feeling like I was being vain or boastful or annoying even… but people want to hear and see what you’re doing. They want to celebrate you and have something to talk to you about the next time they see you.

7
Love fiercely. It’s a renewable resource - abundant and contagious.

8
Build community. It’s the most important thing. We’re nothing without each other.

9
Choose whimsy and joy. You’ll be happier for it.

10
You will not remember this in 5 years. It’s just not that important. You’re (probably) not doing heart surgery, and mistakes happen. Set boundaries, do your best, don’t let it keep you up.
