SCRAPS ~ Laura Hill is a multidisciplinary artist and producer based in Magandjin/Brisbane. Through her long-running sonic practice SCRAPS, she creates abstracted wave music using analogue synthesisers, drum machines, a looper and vocals. Working within a self-described world of dehydrated disco and dazed romantica, SCRAPS brings together hypnotic dream-pop with the steady heartbeat of club music. Performed from memory and responsive to the energy of the room, SCRAPS approaches live music as a living form—reassembled through presence, intuition and recollection. Keep it steady—come into the world of SCRAPS. VACUUM ~ Since 2013 Jenny Branagan (NUN) and Andrea Blake (ASPS/Chrome Dome) have been experimenting with found sounds and far-reaching frequencies as VACUUM. They combine samples and sub-bass tones - resulting in a disquieting yet danceable outcome. Utilizing the cyclical patterns found in nature and industry as a rhythmic device, VACUUM aims to destroy and rebuild constantly. HORSE MACGYVER ~ Horse MacGyver is the nonsense moniker of Naarm-based artist, musician and sound designer Timothy Dwyer, with releases on Nice Music, Heavy Machinery and !K7. His work follows what The Wire has described as “a missing link between a certain 1990’s tendency and the present.... But Dwyer updates it with the no less twitchy pathology evident in current producers.” ANDREW GEORGE ~ Andrew George. The legal moniker for a member of Cured Pink, Witness K and Enderie returning to a solo fixture for the first time in years. BLACK DAHLIA ~ An experimental musician and performance artist, Black Dahlia blurs the boundaries between theatre, sound, and surreal spectacle. Whether inhabiting strange personas on stage or building vast sonic landscapes, Black Dahlia conjures universes that feel both alien and intimately human, inviting her audience to step into the unknown. CALIFORNIA GIRLS ~ taking form in the expanded band version, California Girls brings electronic to “real” instrument format to meld your mind. JASON BOLTEX ~ Kieran Sullivan, former songwriter and frontman of Naked, is back as Jason Boltex, purveyor of noisy, plundering, post-punk ‘dumb IDM’. CHRISTOBEL ~ Chri

Our Friends Electric brings the best of the best of electronic DIY to Sydney for an all-day takeover of Petersham Bowling Club on Saturday the 19th of September, 2026. Following two zine editions and launch shows across Sydney, Melbourne and London, Our Friends Electric expands their scope to present a two-stage mini festival with artists hailing from across the country including veteran local artists: Scraps, Vacuum, Horse Macgyver, Andrew George and California Girls as well as welcoming new formations such as: Close Contact, Astrid and A Romano. Rare appearances from Elmo Aoyama and Cottage Hag joined by a Sydney debut from Jason Boltex. Debut DJ sets from Day Job DJs, Pattys Toybox b2b Blossom Legacy and Sydney’s favourite ‘band 2 DJs’ Perfect Actress. Tarot readings by Lips Network will be set up and available to pre-book or find a time on the day. Our Friends Electric is a self-funded passion project showcasing, often over-shadowed, electronic DIY. Organiser, Grace Stevenson, (REBEL YELL, Close Contact, 100%) started OFE as a way to connect music makers and listeners, to broaden community and defy gatekeeping. This event is an extension of that ethos; celebrating electronic front and centre, with a bill inviting diverse artists both established and emerging.
