Each bundle is packed with old lace, ribbon, rick-rack, bingo cards, antique quilt pieces…all vintage. There are a few graphics that are recreations. The witch on the pumpkin and the Pumpkin Girl, each 3.5”x4”, are compliments of @frenchdoorstudio. Check out this site for great graphics!

Hello sweet IG friends!

As many of you know, I’ve taken a small break to care for my father, then start to adjust to his passing. The “leprechaun” would have been 92 on St. Patrick’s Day. I’m sure he’s found gold at the end of the rainbow.

My father had strong opinions about a lot of things and productivity was one of them. My father would be saying, “quit crying in your beer, Jackie. There’s work to be done!” So, here I am. I’ve replaced his beer with my preferred iced tea, and I’m ready to return to a job that I love and rarely consider work! Vintage selling!

Tomorrow morning, I’ll be posting five bundles, more than likely in two separate sales. The pinks first at 9:00 am EST, and the yellow/greens in a second sale around 10:00.

So….we all have our vices?? Or, is it only me?

Sharing with you a few of my many collections. Vintage Christmas cards. You can never have too many. Old ornament boxes and decorative gift boxes. All the better to fill with old postcards, scraps and holiday ephemera. AND…1950s and 60s wrapping paper! I could set up a shop on Main Street. The mid-century graphics and perfect texture of these old papers are what dreams are made of. In Jackieland anyway.

Happy May!!

Although I had visions of dancing around the May Pole in Jackieland yesterday, “real life” had other plans! (Darn that Real Life thing!)

Yet, there was something very Jackieland-ish I did, making a little bit of time for playing with these beautiful graphics from @paper.tag.youre.it! This is a new paper project from the very creative Bobbie, @frenchdoorstudio. As a matter-of-fact, if you go to the new Paper Tag You’re It site, @paper.tag.youre.it , these beautiful graphics are yours for the asking until May 3rd! There are five pages of spring printables and they are gorgeous! I’ve created a tag to use on a Mother’s Day gift, and will make time this weekend to make more!

The “tag” with the blue ribbon was made using a folded paper envelop from vintage sheet music. The pockets can hold any number of paper treasures and antique ephemera. If there are any “birds of a feather” on this post, I will send my blue-ribbon folded paper tag and the pink tag to the first person who says, “me please”. I’ll stuff the folded-pockets envelope front and back with additional vintage paper goodies!

Last week was a fabulous whirlwind of family, food and sunsets. Time with our little niece was rejuvenating while drinks @barcrenn and dinner @statebirdprovisions sealed the deal. California, you are quite stunning.

I know, Valentines Day was last week, but I believe any day is a good time to celebrate love!

My soon-to-be 91 year-old father is asleep in his chair. The reason my posting and sales are sporadic. The same person who once sat by my bed as I recovered from a serious illness and surgery, now needs my love and commitment. The circle of life and love continues!

Swipe left to enjoy vintage ephemera and paper bits and pieces that symbolize love, peace, and friendship. All the important things of life! Some of these paper beauties were gifts from special IG friends! ⬇️⬇️⬇️

A mystery and a sale…not in that order!

As for the sale…I’m posting vintage valentines to my Stories. You might want to take a peek! If they are SOLD, it is marked as such in the upper left corner of the Story post!

Now, for the mystery!! My big red Valentine bin, and two large clear bags of hand-stitched hearts are GONE!!??? They always go back to our storage unit after the annual day of Love, but they are nowhere to be found in our storage unit. My husband and I have both looked high and low. Crazy! Some of you may recall, I was still hobbling around at this time last year, and things were a bit chaotic, so who knows? Perhaps they were mis-labeled? I’ll open up a bin for the Fourth of July and there they’ll be. What do you think? Any ideas? Any psychics among you! I’ll keep you posted!

I’ve decorated these shelves with the few things I had stored in a closet. And, swipe left to see all the little details. I love my books covered with vintage valentines paper! I’ll try to remember the vendor if any of my fellow paper nerds want to have some!

Pure magic! We got to view the “Sleeping Beauties” exhibit when @metmuseum was closed to the public. One of those NYC moments no one even knows exists. Was so hapoy to be able to share the beauty with @lisacook52 . Big shout out to Chelsea for not only hosting us but designing such a stunning exhibit.
