A fantastic Thanksgiving weekend filled with quality time with family and friends, an insane amount of delicious food (thanks @beckywright037 and @lisajbrandau), seeing @deathangelofficial perform the Act III album from start to finish at @forge_live (thanks @robcavestany and @markosegueda), consuming top notch cocktails at @after_chicago (thanks @curtisduffy), watching the Bears dominate the Eagles on the road, and seeing Ben Johnson take off his shirt during the postgame celebration so that the city of Chicago can get free hot dogs from @wienerscircle (a man of the people). Oh, we also got a fun winter snow storm, which I pray melts soon. Hope everyone had an enjoyable time with family and friends. #thanksgivingweekend #beardown #deathangel

Truly amazed by the @paulmccartney concert last night at the @unitedcenter. It was made even better taking it all in with family and friends. The fact that Paul is 83-years-old and played non-stop for 2 hours and 40 minutes is mind blowing to me. And he played a perfect combo of Beatles and Wings tunes. Tonight is night 2 in Chicago and is the last show of the tour. If you live in the Midwest or can catch a quick flight to Chicago, GO to this show. It’s incredible. #paulmccartney #sirpaulmccartney #thebeatles #wings #gotbacktour

To say Pantera took things to A New Level at Soldier Field last night would be an understatement. An hour set of hit after hit and to me, they stole the show. So great to see so many friends at this one and it was extra special to share the experience with my way too cool aunt @lisajbrandau, who flew in from Denver for the show. A massive thank you to my bud @charbenante, who looked good repping his Bulls jersey on stage. Thanks to my friends Jeff and @daynastaron for the pre and post party, and for the abundance of Yuengling beer. Still on an emotional high after this one! @panteraofficial #pantera #cfh #anewlevel #soldierfield

Quick little lunch break with dad @diditwright, mom @beckywright037, my aunt Lisa @lisajbrandau, and my nephew Daniel at one of our favorite places in the city @elevencitydiner. Short and sweet but meaningful and fulfilling time spent together. Love their #43 sandwich and thanks Auntie Lee for discovering this gem of a spot. We’re definitely no longer hungry. #elevencitydiner #lunchbreak #familytime

It’s safe to say that the Wright family LIVed it up at the @livgolf_league Pro-Am event at @rich_harvest_farms this afternoon. It was pretty surreal seeing my little bro Blaine @be__wright caddy for @zachlavine8, who played in a group consisting of @dustinjohnsongolf and @reggiebush. Dustin is obviously the pro golfer but Zach and Reggie can hit the ball a mile too. The rain didn’t stop me, dad @diditwright, mom @beckywright037, and my aunt Lisa @lisajbrandau from having an amazing time. I’m especially proud of my little bro and it was cool to be inside the ropes for a few holes and see him do his thing. A HUGE thank you to Zach and to Blaine for the over the top hospitality and this was an experience we’ll never forget! ⛳️ #livgolf #richharvestfarms #golffamily #zachlavine #dustinjohnson #reggiebush #brookskoepka

My Uncle Fred was a great man and was like a second dad to me. He treated me as if I was one of his own and often called me, “my son.” He had the gift of gab and had a warmth and genuineness to his personality that could make anyone feel special, even strangers. He was wise and would look you in the eye when he spoke to you. He loved well and was intentional with his words. He was a cool cat that always rocked either a goatee or beard and had a great head of hair. He loved talking Bulls, Bears, and Cubs, even when they sucked.

I had just seen him and my aunt Lisa 2 months ago while on a work trip to Denver. The 3 of us had dinner together and it was a magical night. I told them how good they looked, especially for their age. Little did I know this would be the last time seeing Uncle Fred looking as good as he did. He was diagnosed with lung cancer a month ago and passed away 4 weeks later, which ended up being this past Saturday. That quickly. It’s still hard to wrap my mind around it.

Uncle Fred would regularly say, “Tomorrow ain’t promised to any of us.” Maybe that’s why I live my life the way I do…going 100 mph with a YOLO/FOMO mentality. I don’t want to have any regrets because you only get one shot at life. There aren’t any do overs. Uncle Fred lived a good life and I don’t think he’d change anything. He loved the Lord and I know he’s smiling down on us from heaven. I love you Uncle Fred and will miss you man. Thank you for everything. ❤️

I wanted to show my appreciation to my awesome cousins on National Cousins Day. We’re spread out across the country in Chicago, New York, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, and California so we don’t see each other as much as we’d like but the love is always there and we always pick up right where we left off. I consider them brothers and sisters rather than cousins. So many great memories growing up and thanks to @jordan.roozeboom and @kendall_laurenb for sending me some old school pics. Miss you all and I’m thankful for all my cuz’s! ❤️ #nationalcousinsday

It was a year ago today that the Brando Bash took place at @cheerslivemusic. It was kind of like Mitch-A-Palooza in Old School but WAY better! Thanks to Karrie for being on board with this idea and for my parents for throwing the great pre-party. My buds in NOLA, who are an awesome Down tribute band, let me hand pic the setlist for the night, which consisted of songs by Down (duh), Pantera, Stormtroopers of Death, Sepultura, Slayer, Corrosion of Conformity, and KISS. A huge thank you to Mike Nowicki, @shabotage, @the_burning_jason, @bertnasty8712, and Danimal Schuetzenhofer for killing it and performing the songs flawlessly. These dudes went above and beyond and I’m forever grateful. Also, a very special thank you to my friends @charbenante, @carlaharvey, and @jeremyxwagner for taking the night to a new level and playing a bunch of songs with NOLA to close out an epic night! Thanks to my bud @eric.bonano for designing the mega cool Brando Bash poster as well as the laminates and “stickies” and to Lou Selvaggio with @guncraftbeer for providing the refreshing Anthrax “Wardance” beer. It’s not a party unless people show up so thank you to my family and friends for coming and playing a big part in the overall experience. It was such an amazing night and vibe and outside of my wedding day, this was the greatest day of my life and one I’ll never forget! 🤘🏻❤️ #brandobash #nola #noladowntribute #nolachicago #charliebenante #carlaharvey #forevermetal
