five months in japan

I always get a little emotional leaving a place.
From the outside it probably looks like I’m just living my best silly life ( and most of the time I am :) ), but there are many moments of doubt, loneliness & anxiety in between

Leaving always makes me emotional. Sad to say goodbye. But it mostly makes me overwhelmed looking back and realising how grateful and proud i am of all the things I’m experiencing!!

SO. Lil big short small long jpn recappie
😳🌸🌙🐉🍥

Started in Hokkaido; volunteering at @hostel_otarutaproom and learning Japanese on my time off from Masa Harada san @otaru.morinoki

This turned into living in the mountains in Madarao, working as a chef in a hotel, and snowboarding basically every day (!!)

Did a full 180 (ltrly and figuratively 😝) Traveled around, stayed with the sweetest local families in different places; what made my time here so special

Towards the end I got the opportunity to work for @snowmachinefest as an artist liaison, which was lots n lots n lots of fun

Last but not least finishing off this jørney with two visits from home from my lovely friends @sarahroosje and @miesmagrijn

and honestly sooo much more happened in between, but too much to write!! luckily we still have the photos xx

quick stats⁉️
infinite good food ((and a few too many poisonous chuhi’s))
made new friends (s/o) ((and reunited with old ones (s/o)))
countless beautifull places ((n faces!!))
attempted 180 180s ((and probably landed 3))
fell 1000 times ((but got back up 1001 times))
