Hi y’all! I hope you are all doing well during this whole Pan Dulce times <3 I’m VERY excited to share some things I’ve been working on and hope you will love it and share to support! I’ve been working so hard in the last few months on this and I’m finally ready to share a little snippet. Last year, I was asked to join the board of @elder_queer, which is a peer run group for queer folks 40+. It’s been nice to be in a community with folks in EQ. In joining the Advisory Board, I’ve been tasked to program a month and in true luna fashion, I’m bringing some Femme Brilliance to EQ in March! March 2021 will be Femme Month over at EQ and I’ve programmed 4 events that will happen throughout the month which celebrate and highlight the work and lives of Femmes over 40. I’ve enlisted the help of some really amazing femmes to put together this programming and I can NOT wait to show you what March has in store! I also am in full gratitude to both @every1deservessexed and @shopspectrumboutique for sponsoring some great giveaways for attendees! Queers over 40 deserve access to pleasure too! The first event in Femme Month is a Queer Parenting conversation with @rivera505 @lisalaborde & @nikibest with a Q&A to follow. Being in community for so many years, I’ve heard time and time again from queer parents that they sometimes feel isolated from community and/or folks who aren’t partents/caretakers can’t relate to their specific struggles and joys. Dr. Rivera will be steering this conversation and I invite those of us who aren’t parents or caretakers to also join so we can learn how to better support the queer parents in our lives. Five years ago, we were wandering the streets of Barcelona... watching skate culture, eating delicious food (late), visiting hillside amusement parks and turning down small alleyways in The Gothic Quarter. Can’t wait to travel again. Happy #2021 y’all. Bring it!
