How did we get here already? One whole year with our Scotty boy. You’ve filled our days with laughter, love, and the kind of joy that makes time fly. Watching you grow has been the greatest gift, and I still can’t believe you’re ours! We love you so much! 🩵🥹

Cake is one of our favorite desserts, and a classic wedding choice, but it’s not for everyone. We’ve been seeing a lot of conversation around this lately, so let’s talk about it. As a guest, do you even notice if there’s no cake, or no cake cutting? Some couples keep the tradition: elegant, expected, and sentimental enough to make Grandma tear up. Others see it as a formality no one eats, and would rather serve gelato, tiramisu, or something they actually love. Do you give it the spotlight, sneak in a few photos, or skip it altogether? We tell our clients this all the time: if it doesn’t feel like you, it doesn’t need a place on the timeline or the budget. More often than not, we land somewhere in the middle - an unannounced cake cutting where we’ve already pulled in the VIPs (think Mom, Grandma, photo, video), captured the moment, and let the rest of the party keep dancing. Because the truth is, stopping the music for a cake announcement can kill the vibe. And sometimes, the dance floor never fully recovers. Tell us in the comments: is cake here to stay, or are we moving on?

A romantic affair with European charm — Lauren & Nicolás’ wedding at @chateaunouvelle was elegance in every frame. Crisp whites, soft greens, and thoughtful textures created a refined and elegant look. From her classic gown from @whittingtonbridal to the vintage-inspired cake by @cakesbyginahou, every detail felt like it belonged in a storybook. Planned to perfection with flawless bites from @larue.catering and blooms by @caliandbloom.✨ • • Wed Society | Houston FEATURED Vendors: Beauty: @etoillyartistry Bridal Dress Shop: @whittingtonbridal Cake: @cakesbyginahou Catering & Bartending: @larue.catering Floral: @caliandbloom Photography: @allyjoephotography Venue: @chateaunouvelle • • // Photo: @allyjoephotography • • Other Vendors: @generationtux @lisalambbakes @shopaurea @omnihoustonhotel @jolie.planning @drywaterband @divisistrings @decorbydulce @bythemillers @lakesidecchouston Monarch British Limousines #houstonwedding #wedsocietyhouston #beauty #fashion #floral #photography #venue
