Today is International Women’s Day and we wanted to brag about some of the amazing and talented women on our team🗣️

Meet Lisa, Katie, Lena, and Kate🤗

Lisa is our CEO and has been with Weimar Pictures since its inception. She served in the Army for 23 years and retired from the Medical Service Corp and NATO as a Lieutenant Colonel.

Yeah, we know what you’re thinking…she’s a total badass‼️

Katie is a talented artist and designer. Ok…we’re being modest. She is an 8x Emmy Award-Winning Art Director and Motion Graphics artist with 15 years of industry experience with some household names including Amazon, ABC, Walmart, and so many more🏆

Lena is a talented motion graphic designer and artist originally from NYC who now resides in LA and boasts over eight years in the industry. She has worked with renowned networks such as Music Choice, Nickelodeon, and FX Network. She’s also worked with Weimar Pictures on projects like Inside Eats with Rhett & Link, Jojo Goes, Generation Gap, Land of Gold, and many Walmart spots. 🤩

Lastly, Kate (@kategvk) has been an illustrator since childhood. It was a hobby turned profession that allows her to help clients find creative solutions that ultimately bring them success. Some notable projects Kate has collaborated with us on include Disney’s Magic Bake-Off, Baking It!, and Dark Marvels. ✨

We are so fortunate to work with these amazing women🙌

Lisa K. Franks has been CEO of Weimar Pictures since the beginning of its foundation. Before coming to Hollywood, CA to live, she traveled the world serving in the US Army for 23 years and retired from the medical service corp and NATO as a Lieutenant Col.

Her resume also includes major Fortune 500 corporate company work as a marketing manager and starting several other companies she cofounded. The Cofounded companies include a media/ company and a merchandising online store.

But if you ask her what her greatest accomplishment is, she will honestly say it is her family. This is where her heart lies above everything else. 😊

Goodbye LA, emergency departure had me having to cut my stay short, leaving unfinished business behind but I will be right back.

I learnt a lot about myself as a dancer and human being in LA, all thanks to all the mentors, choreographers and dancers who were apart of my journey and growth and will continue to be when I’m back.I appreciate you all!
New realigned clearer vision in place.

***LONG STATUS ALERT*** KA Arts has now completed its very first year of training and after a very busy, full out and emotional weekend of classes, I would like to say thank you to each and every student who has made this year very special, not only for me but for all of your tutors and assistants. Watching your growth, development and confidence build each week is deeply rewarding.

To the parents/guardians, thank you for believing in me, my faculty and the school. Your dedication to ensuring the students are at training each week, despite the busy schedules of family life is extremely admirable… I hope that the missed parties, weekends away and precious missed family time is all worth it when you come to collect your children and they leave with enthusiasm and huge smiles on their faces.

A school is only as good as its faculty, and I am extremely lucky to have the best faculty any principal could ask for. Laura Henderson, Chantelle Kemp, Dean Ryan, Ro See Shalloo, Jack Shalloo and Shannon Sullivan, thank you for helping to deliver top quality, professional training. You have all consistently pushed every student to achieve their best whilst nurturing them individually. Myself and the students are extremely grateful for all the hard work you do and also for the personal time you spend prepping lessons and material.
A special thank you goes to Freya Karlettis and Alfie Aves, our two teaching assistants, who have dedicated their entire weekends to KA Arts. Thank you both for everything you have done for our Infant and Junior students. We all wish you the best of luck as you start your full time professional training in September.

Bower Park Academy, EJC Management, Lisa Franks, Dean Ambrose, Ashlee Young, Suzanne Ewen, Bonny Waters, Jacqueline Parry, Joy Fairbrother and anyone I may have missed… Thank you for your help this year with KA Arts, whether it is providing us with great premises, representing our students and securing them great professional roles, being a dedicated web team, covering classes or coming in to help clear up at the end of a training day, it has all helped to create the wonderful Musical Theatre school that our students cherish.
